Stayed here for a week in April. Great location right on the waterfront, lovely walk along the promenade into the town. We had a side sea view, evening sunshine. Large well equipped rooms, whirlpool bath, fridge with complimentary water included. Rooms cleaned every day with towels and linens changed at our request. Free wi fi with codes - ask at... More

Stayed a week at the end of September. This is everything you would expect of a 4* hotel ~ what it does it does well. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff and really good breakfast. Can't comment on the evening fare as we were keen to try as many local restaurants as possible. The hotel is nicely situated in a quiet... More

We stayed for a week in the second week of September, and despite the storms! had agreat time again (3rd stay in this hotel). Having read some of the other reviews I find it hard to understand how anyone could say that the evening buffet was poor etc. as we've never had cause to complain (ok ,comments are individually subjective),... Having walked past this hotel many times and called in for a evening drink a few times we saw a great deal with Thomsons and booked a 2 week stay, we were not disappointed. Check in was quick and efficient from the friendly and polite receptionist as were all the staff. Our room was on the 1st floor at the... More

Booked through Sovereign hotel is nice enough but not a luxury hotel, rooms are comfortable and clean as are all of the public areas, the food in the restaurant was very good considering it is buffet style and the wines good value the only downside is that it is downstairs with no outside view so it is a bit canteen... Room was fine. Location ok. Food poor particularly the evening buffet. Poor quality ingredients, kept luke warm. Show cooking a bit better but small portions. In season one would be better eating outside the hotel, off season that may still be an option but less choice as fewer restaurants are open. Service was light probably because it was off season.... Just back from a 19 nights bed and breakfast stay at the Hotel Port Ciutadella. This is a truly beautiful hotel. Exceptionally clean throughout, with friendly well trained staff and a relaxing atmosphere. The buffet breakfast was always plentiful and delicious (no queuing). We had dinner in the main town to experience the culture of the local people, but if... More

Disappointed by the location on arrival but got used to It. Had a sea/inlet view across a roundabout and children's play area. Gave us something to look at from the balcony In the evening before we wandered into town. Too hot in the afternoon to sit on the balcony. Food was good for breakfast, not so good in the evening.... This is a proper working town which serves a purpose long after the last tourists have gone at the end of October. Made up of attractive squares, fringed by beautiful buildings and Menorca's only cathedral, you can sit at one of the many cafés or restaurants and soak up the atmosphere and what appears to be an ideal climate. I'm... More
