My family and I have just returned from this hotel a couple of days ago and really felt that the experience warranted a review. We have 2 children, a 4 and a 2 year old. On first arrival the hotel looked fantastic. The sun was shining and the reception looked and sounded fantastic. There were fountains and running water etc.... more

We have just returned from a week at the Sol Falco. It was advertised with Thomas Cook as a 4 star hotel but displayed a 3 star on its entrance. The room was a double with a cot. Apart from the beds and the cot, there was not much more room. We could just about fit our suitcases in. The... more

I have just returned from two weeks with wife and 18month old son. We read all the reviews and we looking forward to it. Got to say we were well disappointed really. Firstly if it was "4 Star" as it says on here and in brochure then it certainly isn't anymore. The hotel is now clearly displaying 3-stars on all... more

I stayed in this hotel in august 2006. A wonderful holiday. Minorca is a very special place. The hotel is very big and comfortable, very suitable for families with children. The rooms are quite big, kept clean and ordered. Nice pools (1 big and 2 small), a big garden all around. The thing that I appreciated more is the food.... more

Date 29 Sept 2008. Just returned after a 2 week half board holiday in the Sol Falco and above all I found it to be crying out for a little TLC. True enough you will see maintenance workers going about there daily business but you can only do so much to a pretty run down complex. For instance, the pool... more

Due to go to the Algarve for a weeks holiday but 2x days before we were due to fly the tour opeator went bust. We then booked the Sol Falco, after booking i realised this was a flintstones themed hotel and as we were 2x adults leaving our kids at home i was a bit worried. No need great hotel... more

We have just returned from a weeks stay in the Sol Falco and were impressed from the moment we arrived. This is most definitely a hotel for young families - there is so much to do for the little ones - several lovely clean swimming pools, sand pit, games rooms, huge connect four game etc, as well as the regular... more

We stayed here for 10 days with our 13-month daughter after much deliberation, and couldn't have wished for a better hotel! After a 50 minute transfer by taxi from the airport, we were met by friendly reception staff and shown to a spacious, clean, air-conditioned room. We stayed in the Cortijo block with a balcony overlooking the pool, complete with... more

I only stayed at this hotel for 7 hrs, but it was enough - having to share a room with an army of ants for that length of time. Our return flight to the UK was delayed by 21 hrs, so Thomas Cook transferred us to this hotel for a night. We arrived at 3am, and had to check out... more

As the title says, just book it after loads of mucking about between this hotel, the paradise club and the valetin star, I feel I chose the correct one, for my young family it is perfect, however couples will also find peace within the extensive grounds, with separate pools away from the kids pool, you can hear a pin drop.... more
