I was there on the opening day in the middle of December 2021 for the "new" Hostal Corona. Great new (Swedish) owners. Ida and Camilla know how to present japas, not tapas ... No hotel rooms for now. But such a great ambiance that one wants to stay overnight in the different lounges.

We we reserved 2 rooms: a double(pre-pay non refundable) and a triple in November last year from July 31st to August 4rd. But at the beginng of this year one of the person could made it so we contact directly with the hotel and ask if it was possible to change the double for the triple, they said it was no problem, and that we will see it during the check in, so far, so goo. But today 07/31/19 we arrive at the hostel. At first everything seemed OK, but then they said that they didn't charge anything pre-arrival and also that we only booked the room for 2 people when we specifically did it for 3, and also when we ask about the change of rooms we told we were 3.We were tired and all we wanted was to go to the room, so we believe them and pay. But when we went to the room.. Surprise! First it was so hot and only had a small ventilator to cool it down. The room was in the first room, and has a very thin wooden door, so you could hear everything, the bar, the car, the guest going to the badroom. Then the beds were horrible, you could feel the springs and the wooden board of the base. To top it off, the room was infestated wit mosquitoes and fleas! They said that pets were not allowed but we saw around 3 dogs with their owners. After being eaten alive by mosquitos and fleas for about 20 min, we decided that we could not stay here, so we went to talk with the guy in the reception (which by the way is also the bar). We explained the situation and he told the owner. At first he (the owner) told us he was going to give back the money of the last 2 nights, but then he suddenly began to insult us, took the keys of his motorbike and left while insulting us. What it shocked us the most was the owner's behavior, because we understand he want his money but there was no need to be rude and disrespectful as he was.

Stayed here on two occasions in May 2019, at the start and finish of a trip to walk the GR 221. Rooms are not en-suite, but this is well compensated for by the quality of the breakfast, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the evening atmosphere in the downstairs garden area.

I loved this place! Only stayed for one night, which was a shame in hindsight. The (2 p) room was small but very, very pretty. A comfortable bed and a big closet, a sink and no less then 3 huge windows with different views of the gardens around the building. The room and shared bathroom were spotless. The terrace is amazing, at night there are portable heaters and blankets. The food was fantastic (I had a huge salad with bread and a glass of excellent Spanish wine) as was breakfast, with fresh fruits and juice, very good coffee, sandwiches with cheese and meat (if you want) and toast with a selection of jams. Defenitely worth the money. Will come and stay again when I return to Mallorca!

Loved this place, it was so unlike a hostel its untrue. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms, although basic were just what we needed as we were only in them to get ready and sleep, all the facilities were clean and looked after. The food was outstanding and the bar and restaurant area was really lovely. Excellent value for money and would highly recommend.

The staff here are all brilliant and lovely: always willing to assist with a smile! The rooms are a great size and comfortable with clean towels daily. Quiet location so not effected by noise from the street but close to everything you need. Would definitely come again!

We had the pleasure dining at Corona twice. The food is ok, but do not expect top quality. They serve traditional Spanish food. The garden is a great place to relax with snacks and beer. Prices are reasonable, and service amazing.

We loved this place. It's cheap, toilets and showers apart from the bedroom. They use skeleton keys, however, and they are hard to figure out. But the cafe/bar downstairs is so charming! Would stay again. But perhaps it would be nice if they had fans in the room for those hot summer nights.

We arrived to the place, paid cash to the host, received the key and shown to our room. The room was horrible! It was dirty, dusty, smelly. We opened the wardrobe, there was a duvet full of dust which seemed was never cleaned before. The windows overlooked the road, there was a noise from the cars. The toilet outside the room was not clean. We left the room within 30-40 minutes after booking a last minute alternative accommodation at a higher price. We saw the host on the way out saying that we are moving out as we did not like the place for the reasons above. There was no offer or suggestion to refund at least half price for our waisted time and the last minute alternative booking. Very unpleasant experience! Would definitely avoid the place.
