I chose this hotel partly for its close proximity to the bus station as I intended arriving and leaving by bus. In fact it is also close to the Old Town and the modern part of Town is easily reached as well. It's a 2* cosy little place so I didn’t expect any frills. When I arrived the señora in... More

Stayed for 2 nights and paid about 40 euros including breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful although not much english spoken. Good position, close to old town and bus station and not far from train station. Comfortable room and fairly quiet.Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very well located for the bus station and is close to the centre of town. The room is very basic. You access the hotel through its downstairs cafe until 4pm when the hotel door is opened. The bathroom had a slightly fetid odour. The shower handle was broken so the water also came out of the hose,... More

Great location. Staff don't really speak English but were friendly and helpful. Room was basic but clean. We were only staying one night and not eating there and this hotel was just what we needed - simple and inexpensive. Street parking very close by.

Right at the edge of the old town. Nice room which had been refurbised recently. Good service but only in Spanish. Avoided the restaturant, there are plenty of local bars and cafes around the corner. Good for staying a couple of night. A bit of noise from the street.

The owner and staff are very welcoming and friendly. The staff don't speak much english and I don't speak Spanish but were very with us patient when we asked questions. I would use a google translation and write down on a piece of paper what I was searching and the owner would happily show me on a map where I... More

Vitoria seems short of high quality hotels, which is a shame, because it's a fantastic place to stay, with a vibrant city life. The Hotel Desiderio was the only hotel right in the oldest pert of town and, as others have commented, is really handy for the bus station, where you can arrive from Bilbao in just an hour. The... Hotel Desiderio is a perfect place for people traveling by bus. Five minutes walk from the central bus station and at the border of the historical center (the escalator to the top of the city is just at the corner of the hotel). Not very warm desk but correct service. Good wifi connection. The room was large, and at the... More

Excellent location for business in downtown Vitoria-Gasteiz. The room was basic but queit and clean. Excellent wifi connection. Nice, helpful people and an excellent place to have a superb breakfast in the adjoining corner café. Cheap and hence fair value for money. Would certainly come back if need be.
