rooms are clean and well maintained, and sheets changed, towels changed everyday and the ambiance inside is quite quiet... during the weekends a bit more animation in the Alameda makes some noise but you can not hear it if you like to spend a bit more time outside... it is very nice location because close of a lot of interesting... Amazing location, great value for money rooms, and a town to fall in love with. The couple who run this place are lovely; they lent us a kettle and cups so we could make tea in the morning. And I can't say enough - the location!!!! A view of the the playa be la concha from the itty bitty balcony,... More

This is a gem hidden on the second floor of a building right in the old town. The room was exceptionally comfortable, the host more than helpful and the bed and bathroom were both great. The quaint old style lift adds to the beauty of the Hotel. As a destination San Sebastian is an excellent place to visit. The Pintxos... More

So glad we chose Pension Alameda for our stay in San Sebastian. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and they even upgraded our room to a spacoius suite. Internet was fast and free and beach towels supplied on request. The location was perfect for... More

You could not ask for a better location. While it is not close to the bus station it is easy to transfer to a local bus and get there. We thought it was easy to find and don't understand why some people have a problem. They give you the address and their name is listed. It is located upstairs above... More

The hotel is located right on the main strip of san sebastian which is very convenient, lots of restaurants and cafes close by and the beaches a short walk away. The hotel itself was clean. and comfortable, nothing fancy but was more than suitable for our 3 night stay. One drawback is that the air conditioning can't be controlled from... More

We received a warm welcome on arrival, having been challenged in finding the place, tucked in a corner near an ice-cream shop. Our room, with en-suite was clean and comfoprtable, but looked out onto a street in the old town with a wide selection of tapas bars and restaurants - ideal if you're eating and drinking, but not so good... Usually staying in hotels these days, haven't stayed in a pension in 20 years. Cute little place, right off La Concha beach, on the edge of the old town. Typical San Sebastian weekend, it drizzled all day Sunday and we took in a 3 hour lunch. They provided us with umbrellas, guide maps, and hospitality. We had a room with... More

Immaculate property that is home from home. The owners go out of their way to make sure your stay at Pension Alameda is just as memorable as the beautiful city of San Sabastian. The location cannot be faulted, and the value is unbeatable. Teresa together her husband, are a hive of information, recommending the best restaurants that suit your taste,... More

Stayed here as a family of three overnight in room 4 while dropping off the hire car and then training across to the tgv at irun/ hyendaye onwards to paris. The location is right on the boulevard next to the old town, right between La Concha and Zurriola, parking is down the road 5 to 10 minute walk. As others... More
