I stayed few days in this lovely pension. I have to say i was really nicely surprise because it was over my expectation. The place is really nice located in the center (plaza buen pastor) just in front of the cathedral and 5 min by walk to the old donostia where you can find the best tapas in town. In... More

Don't be confused by the name of this hotel, it is in the Centro district of San Sebastian whereas some might think it is in the Old Town. Still, it is perfectly located for being close to all the shops yet only a 5 minute walk from the edge of the Parte Vieja. Walls between rooms are a little thin... More

This hotel is in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic but clean and did have everything I needed. However my room faced the street so the traffic and pedestrian noise did wake me up a few times so perhaps ask for a room on the other side facing the cathedral.

First of all I would like to say I am really disappointed with Javier. I tried to cancel on September 14 for a reservation on September 21st as found a great new hotel called the Uruqull Urumea that was spotless and 115 euros night vs 135 at Pension Ignacio a two star pension not a hotel. I cancelled on Booking.com... More

Really good base for explaring San Sebastian! Beautiful, traditional, old building, decent size room and cupboard, clean and comfy. Staff was really friendly and helpful, whatever request we had they always sorted everything out immediately and with a smile. All of them were very friendly! We will be back.

- Friendly staff, but seemed new and not overly familiar with the area; gave advice where possible but not really helpful - Good location, an easy walk to old town and beaches - No toilet paper in the bathroom (luckily realised before it was too late) - Didn't feel we had value for money. All accommodation options in San Sebastian... More

We spent two nights here for a home base for exploring San Sebastian. It was sheer delight! Javier is so charming, engaging and helpful. And extremely patient. He always seems happy! He was very helpful in steering us in good directions for food and activities, and even personally escorted us to our taxi when leaving. The room was very comfortable.... More

This was our first time staying in a pension and we learned quite quickly that a pension is not staffed 24 hours a day. This meant we had to plan somethings in advance, such as indicate the time we would arrive and leave. The staff are nevertheless very helpful and accommodating to have someone around when needed. The pension does... More

Javier is worth his weight in gold. He made our 2 night stay just lovely. Our room (102) was spotless and very comfortable, balcony door overlooked cathedral, just perfect. Very close to everything, 2 restaurants four doors away. The weather was our only complaint, everything else was fine. We will return on our way back from Barcelona and Madrid.

This place is difficult to find as it does not front on a street but on an interior courtyard facing the church. We circled the block many times and finally had to ask directions. When we finally arrived, the place was locked with no way to get in. After waiting quite puzzled, the owner finally showed up to check us... More
