The views from this hotel are as good as it gets. I will probably never find a hotel with a superior panorama. It is a great place to stay if you have a car or don't mind taking cab rides or are prepared to walk for miles. If you drive I recommend having a GPS as the streets near the... more

The location is amazing, second to none in terms of views over San Sebastian however unless you have a car I would not recommend it. There is a funicular which runs from 10.00-22.00 daily however it is still a 30 minute walk along the beach to get to the Centro/Gros areas and the main restaurants and bars once you reach... more

The main reason for picking this hotel was travelling with a child and wanting a swimming pool, found out after I arrived that it is closed in June (mentioned on their web site but I had booked on the accor website). Rip off for what is offered, old fashioned, dated stuffy and too far from the town, no way of... more

This hotel is quite unique and truly superb. Someone said on another review that the outside is very misleading and I agree but, do not judge until you have gone inside. To be able to sit and enjoy a beautiful meal overlooking the whole of San Sebastian is something not to be missed!! We are definately going to visit again... more

Our room with balcony faced the water/town. The view was mindblowing day and night! San Sebastian is so beautiful. The room was average. Suited our needs. No complaints. The staff was friendly. The cable car/funicular was easy to take up and down the mountain. Walking to town/beach was not that far and rather enjoyable, if you enjoy the nightlife you... more

This hotel offers it all! We had a great room with a balcony overlooking all of San Sebastian and the beaches. The room itself is good its spacious with a decent size bathroom. The best feature is the cable car or "Funicular" which takes you from the top of the mountain down to the beach and you can come back... more

Great hotel in a magnificent place overlooking the town of San Sebastian. We had a room overlooking the ocean rather than the town, which, in the end, we preferred. A quick funicular ride to the town made access to the beach and city easy. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night which was a mistake. Poor quality food at... more

The views from the bar, restaurant and some rooms are wonderful: the rooms themselves are OK but characterless; service in the bar was extremely slow as the staff also served in the restaurant - and the bar closes at midnight. You do need a car unless you are an enthusiastic hiker! more

We stayed two nights at the Mercure San Sebastien. The room had was very spacious, clean and had a fantastic view of the sea and the city. The hotel was quiet despite the adjacent amusement park. Dinner in the restaurant was very good (with musak accompaniment) and breakfast was OK. Good, free parking and the hotel was easy to find.... more

This hotel has the best view of any hotel I have ever stayed in!! From the outside it is ugly as sin but inside it is beautiful and our room could not have been better. Room 228 has a view of the entire bay - simply stunning, nice balcony reasonable sized room and a very good sized bathroom which was... more
