We stayed at Pension Aia for 3 nights. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Less than 10 minutes walk to the old town and 1 minute to the surf beach. Parking is in a very secure underground carpark, also very close. There are breakfast facilities available which we found very useful. Lots of information is displayed and Paulo is... More

Every B&B or pension has its own characteristics. Be it more traditional, more country side, romantic or business. Aia has an international, cool, trendy character. Paulo is personalising this character but ads an eternel smile, day and night service. Perfect location, although parking can be difficult, buth with some strategic search, you can find parking space in the neighbouroud. Good... More

Our stay in Pension Aia was superb. We stayed here for 8 days during Grande Semana, which is a yearly held festival. Pension Aia is in the part of the city called 'Gros', which is (especially during the festival week) less busy than the Old Town. It is a 1 min walk from the surfer's beach and about 10min from... The stay at Aia Pension was the best. The pension is perfectly located near the beach, supermarkets and in a beautiful area of San Sebastian. Great rooms, super clean bathrooms, the kitchen was gorgeous and had all the cutlery needed and in the refrigerator there was even food you could eat. Paulo received us when we arrived in the pension... More

What an amazing place! Paulo is a fantastic host, he made us feel right at home and was really helpful pointing out the best places to eat close to the hostel. We felt like we were staying in an apartment more than a hostel! :) Our room was lovely, with a big clean bathroom and everything we could possibly need.... More

My family stayed here for 3 days last week and we cannot say enough positive things about Pension Aia and the owners Paulo and Idoira (I hope I spelled your name right!). Think of this as a boutique pension, with clean and lovely rooms, bathrooms in the hall and a shared kitchen. The best is the personalised information the owners... More

I can't say enough about this place. Paulo is incredibly kind and helpful! The room was clean and comfortable. We had a beautiful little balcony overlooking the city street. There was tea and cereal in the kitchen. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again and suggest anyone doing so!

As part a week-long trip through France and Spain, we stopped off for a couple of days in San Sebastian. This was by far the cheapest accommodation I had booked, so I was little concerned that it might not be up to scratch. We booked a slightly more expensive room with an outside area, which looked into the courtyard of... More

If you are in San Sebastian to surf, this place has a great location: It is a stone's throw away from Zurriola beach (the main surf beach), has great bars across the road, and (relatively) cheap supermarkets (LIDL and BM) around the corner. Paulo and his wife are great hosts, and can offer you a wealth of information about the... More

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Pension Aia during a 3 week trip in Spain and it was fantastic! The pension is well-located about 2 blocks from the second larget beach in San Sebastian and a 5 minute walk from the old part of town where you'll find many incredible pintxos bars! Paulo and his wife--I never did catch... More
