A great place to stay when visiting San Sebastian. The location allowed us to walk everywhere. The rooms were lovely with great facilities within the property itself. The hosts were nothing but lovely and took exceptional pride and interest in making our stay comfortable. Would not hesitate to recommend and we will be returning for sure.

This place has lots of good reviews and all well deserved. Great location, nice rooms, good beds, good cleaning, great host, good facilities (free wifi, hairdryer, kitchen with something for breakfast, towels in the room, etc), wonderful price for San Sebastian, shower in the room, windows are good enough to protect from noise outside if any(our room was in interior,... Hotels in San Sebastian are quite expensive for Spanish standards - probably one of the most expensive towns in the country. For that reason, finding a great hotel at a reasonable price in San Sebastian was such a joy. The first thing to say about Pension Aia is that is not a five-star hotel, but it does not want to... Husband and I stayed here last week of May, halfway into our year-long trip round the world. It's our favorite so far. The location near the beach, proximity to beautiful hikes as well as old town, amazing price point and super cute and simple rooms make this place one that we can't wait to hit up again. The neighborhood is... More

My friend and I arrived yesterday and were greeted so warmly. We then were shown our great room with a view of the beach. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. After setting up our bags we where shown around the building and given a map of the city which our host told us about in great detail. The restaurants... More

Paulo was very friendly and accommodating, from giving us a map when we first arrived with recommendations on where to go and what to eat, to booking us a taxi on the day we left. The room itself was spacious but otherwise pretty average and the pillow was weird. The kitchen facilities were great, with free snacks/breakfast. The location is... More

We stayed at Paulo's place in July '15. We booked a room with shared bathroom/toilet, which was not a problem because there are 4 (!) clean bathrooms in the pension. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and the fridge has all you need for a breakfast or a snack (free of charge) and, if you need more, you are also welcome... More

We mainly chose Pension Aia because of the location but also it had such great reviews. The location was indeed perfect for our needs - pinxto hunting in the old town and a bit of time on the beach. Parking was a bit of a struggle but we eventually managed with Paulo's help. Opposite the pension are two cafes, so... More

A minutes walk to the beach, which is just beautiful, very friendly staff and a nice, clean room for a short trip in San Sebastián. Took us 30mins walking to get to the hostel from Donostia train station on the day we arrived and couldn't have been simpler. The hostel is around a 15minute walk max, away from the old... More

stayed for four nights. Had a small compact on suite room at the front. Spotlessly clean, great location, 5 minute walk from main surfing beach. A gently 15 minute walk into the old town, we found some nice bars and tapas just around the corner. opposite a couple of great cafes for breakfast, although there is tea and coffee available...
