Good location and cheap, but a lesson was taught that quality pays. Rooms are very basic with poor beds, the walls were paper thin and the staff weren't all that helpful. However it served its purpose as a base to stay. I'm thinking of visiting San Sebastian again this year but will be searching for somewhere far more upmarket. Its... More

Words cannot describe this hostel, I stayed there in July 2013 and it was the worst hostel that i styed in on my 3 month trip. It was so bad that i even got word of how appauling it was in weeks before i arrived in San Seb. The room was dirty and lacked decent security, the bathrooms had not... More

I have travelled the world, stayed in a plethora of different accommodations, and experienced the highs and lows of the dormitory environment. But the uniqueness of the Urban Houses is something that i enjoyed so much, that San Sebastian is the single place i have travelled to the most. I love San Sab and in a large part that is... More

They were supernice to me and took me out on town. The rooms are newly renovated and great price. I could walk everywhere to see the city and the beaches. The also rented out bikes and arranged fun parties.

Location is simply excellent, just a couple of blocks from the Old Town and la Concha Beach. You've got everything around; from small cafeterias, pintxos bar and clubs (if you like to party). Rooms are clean and secure (Lock in the main door, look in your floor, and lock in your rooms) plus they have lockers inside the room. Breakfast... More

I've traveled to many different countries, cities and have stayed in both hotels and hostels, but honestly, I've never had so much fun staying in a hostel before. All of the staff were very friendly and kind. Helped me with anything I needed. Not exactly sure why they would get such awful reviews. I stayed here a few nights and... More

I have been staying at the Urban house hostel for a bit more than a week now. I had not read the reviews before staying here so was very surprised to read them now and hear such awful things about the place. The owner is clearly putting more time into the place and I can see a drastic difference now... More

Stayed here for 3 nights around the time of Pamplona Bull running was incredibly busy, unorganized and loud. Small and ridiculously hot rooms but has a great central location close to everything you need.

Ugly ugly hostel. Luckily I was only there 1 night because the wifi didn't work. Bathrooms are the worst I've seen in a hostel. Super uncomfortable beds. Though if you're not fussy it is a good location and good security for a hostel. Need the pass code to get in and then a key for your floor and seperate key... More

ARRIVAL: Reception was filthy, they could't "decide" what our rate per night was, room was not ready, had to leave and return in 2 hours, returned and we were ignored for a while before one of the girls in reception walked (she was nearly running whilst we had all our bags) us to a totally different location, virtually threw the...
