Very good basic accommodation which was spotlessly clean. Lovely staff. Basic continental breakfast included in the price. Only issue for me (I have a walking disability) was that it is on a hill, although fairly easy to get down to the river by walking. only did the walk back once and then got taxis back afterwards as it is very... La Salve is not too far from the city. Around a 10 minute walk from the city. The staff is very nice and they speak English (enough to get the message through). Understanding some Spanish might help. The room as well as the Pension were neat. The bedspreads, however, needed some washing. The breakfast could improve, but it's OK. I... More

For 40 Euros this was a nice Pension. Very simple, clean and safe. The area is noisy and there is construction all around as well as a bridge overpass. There are a lot of young families in the area making a late afternoon nap (!) impossible. The staff is friendly and they have a nice stocked fridge in the Lobby... More

several best things - price (we ate out each night on what we saved on the hotel) - location (10 minutes from city centre /Guggenheim / 3 from metro -room (clean and tidy with a bath too), fridge in dining area too - staff ( responded well to emails etc; friendly & helpful; spoke a little English) - car park... Booked this as reasonably central and a reasonable price. it is a basic hotel/pension so you get waht you pay for. We were three mates going for a long tourist weekend in Bilbao and we were not unhappy with our choice. Before arrival I had a number of questions hat I emailed and the staff were informative and responded quickly,... More

Understand what you get w/ La Salve - very affordable lodging, great location and basic services. In the end, the cost is tough to beat (we had a double for 40€ a night - there are some hostels that are close to that price range in major cities so it's a steal). To those that complain about the breakfast (it,... More

We picked this pension because of the price and supposed closeness to the Guggenheim Museum. We found it very difficult to find, especially at night. The building was under some kind of construction which completely obscured the door with a small sign on the door. In addition the street as listed was Artesamina, except on the GPS it was spelled... We picked this hotel because of it's price as it was very reasonable and we left after our trip feeling happy with our choice. It is near to all the main attractions (the guggenheim is around a 15 min walk) although the surrounding area is very residential so it may feel further but it's not. The room was spacious, comfortable... More

Everything is in walking distance (10-15 min) from the hotel although the neighborhood might seem a bit strange and isolated.. The staff is more than willing to serve you and the breakfast is nothing special but you can get a proper cup of coffee and have something to keep you going, plus some fruit. The rooms are very clean and... More

The hotel is cheap and well located (walking distance from main places of interest and good public transport system) but it is very noisy (water pipes inside, meto construction work outside). The rooms are clean. No free parking lot in the nearby area though we had been told the opposite. Breakfast DOES need much improvement : we were five friends... More
