We stayed at the Miro last week and it suited our needs perfectly. It was easy to reach via the airport bus (Just around the corner from the Guggenheim stop). We had a great stay at he Miro Hotel, a small designer hotel opposite the Guggenheim Museum. The rooms were tastefully decorated in muted colours, with a black marble bathroom (bathrobes!), nice crisp white sheets, draped velvety curtains and enough space for a small leather couch. Small, hotel. Design is modern, well thought out, with almost everything based on efficient function. Rooms are small with some facing the Guggenheim. Friendly and helpful front desk. We had a view on the Guggenheim museum so you can guess where it was in the city. Bilbao is not that big so even in an half hour walk you are in the old city, a very pleasant walk along the river bank. We booked two rooms for 3 persons over a long weekend and even the one person... more
