This is a lovely small hotel that is a 5-10 minute walk to most of the art museums in Bilbao including the Guggenheim. It is also convenient to the University Deusto and to public transportation. The rooms are modern if a little small. They serve an excellent breakfast.

Bilbao became a totally different city since our last visit in 2006. Back then there was Guggenheim in a rather grey city. Today Bilbao is young, dynamic, creative, cultural, gastronomic. The Miro Hotel is just 100 metres away from Guggenheim and from the excellent Museum of Fine Arts, a great hotel and location for a very, very competitive price !

We had a lovely stay here recently. The staff were effective and helpful. The room was fine. I'd prefer a separated bathroom but the arrangement was fine. Nice soap etc. We enjoyed the free coffee and magazines in the lounge area. Breakfast was huge and all aspects were fine - choice / quality / service - and we made it... More

Perfect base to explore the Gugg & city in general. We stayed 5 nights in the master suite on the top floor - has an oblique view to the museum. Staff were helpful , room good size but passage noise annoying [ door banging & guest conversations]. Breakfasts were extra & expensive. The overriding positive was the location within easy... More

We paid a little extra to get the city view and had a great view of the Guggenheim from our room. It was at an angle, but it was great to see it during the day and night. The room is very modern and we loved the style. Service is good and the breakfast is in a nice airy room.

Thank you for choosing us and for taking the time to share your comments on Tripadvisor. Staying in one of our City Deluxe rooms is worth the little extra if you want to see how the Guggenheim Museum changes at different times of the day and night, depending on how light reflects on the titanium tiles. We appreciate your mention... More

We were thoroughly delighted by our stay in Bilbao, and the Hotel Miro definitely had a part in that. We loved the location, which is across from a park complex and river walk developed in concert with the Guggenheim. Residents use this park space day and night, and we felt connected to the locals as a result. We had a... More

I stayed three nights at the Hotel Miro, and was glad I did. The hotel is well-located - not just close to the Guggenheim and the Fine Arts Museum, but also convenient to the cheap, speedy tram that serves many of the tourist-friendly destinations in the city (including the bus station, where you can catch a bus to San Sebastian).... Disappointments: the black, lightless shower was surprisingly dark and creepy given its tiny size; fat-free, anemic bed pillows; the view of the neighbor’s laundry across a sad, narrow courtyard (see photo); the “desk” was actually a confining bench stool squeezed under the sole, small bedside table, which was already so crowded with a table lamp (why no space-saving sconce?) and... Thanks for sharing your review, we value your opinion very highly, since it helps us improve. We are very sorry to hear your room was not up to your expectations. It´s a urban boutique hotel in the best street in town and we do have neighbours...however it is unfortunate you had to see their clothes hanging. On our website we... More

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Miro with another couple in early September - and it was the perfect time of year to explore the city outside of the summer high season. As other reviewers have stated, the location is ideal! The hotel is literally across the street from the Guggenheim - we could peek out our window and... More

Thank you for your interest in our city, for choosing Hotel Miró and enjoying special services such as our free courtesy Bar.
