Really near to the Abando Central station just a few minutes. Walk from the station, quite place to stay in and you will find everything you try to find nearby, calm rooms with nearly no noise which you find in nearly all the big cities in Europe. The price is reasonable and so is the food, Staff are really helpful... More

Had a nice upgrade for being Le Club Accorhotels Platinum member. Internet was basically nonworking during my two night stay and had to tether on cell network to get work done. Hear doors slamming day and night. Very poor noise insulation. The room was spacious but bed uncomfortable. They need to update the furniture. Wouldn't return.

We stayed at the Albia in June 2015 for a 3 night stay as part of a wedding party. The hotel has a fantastic central location and is very close to the city center and bars and restaurants. The hotel was starting to be refurbished when we arrived. However this did not ruin our stay. The room was quiet and... More

Lovely rooms, and comfortable beds. Very helpful staff. Having walked the Camino for 5 days, including the day of arrival when we had walked 6 hours and spent 3.5 hours on buses from Estella to Bilbao - ie looking dusty and bedraggled - the staff gave us a warm welcome. Close to beautiful church. Great tapas bars nearby. Had thought... More

The room was extremely basic and small for a four star hotel. It was very noisy outside with a bar right under our window. The amenities were terrible and the hotel was undergoing renovation when we arrived. The beds were uncomfortable and the mattresses old. The carpet smelt of smoke and damp. I would never recommend this hotel. The reception... More

This hotel is now the Mercure. I had made the booking at Accor.com and this showed up as a newly opened Mercure. Instead, it was just a rebranding, a lot of confusion and lots of construction in the hotel. The lobby was under construction, and the noise all around could be heard in the room. To start with, we were... More

I stayed here for 3 nights total. The first 2 nights there was no problem with loud noise outside at night but last night (Thursday) there was loud noise outside my window until 4am. It was impossible to sleep. I don't have any other problem with the hotel. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

Stayed one night in Bilbao last week at this hotel..what a gem of a find and will definitely be back. Previous reviews seemed bad, but it has a new manager. It is perfectly located 10 minutes walk to the Guggenheim and 10 minutes to the old town. Major shopping stores are 3minutes away. There are many tapas bars in the... More

We stayed here on the first night of a cycling holiday in Basque Country, In northern Spain. It looks ok from the outside, inside is a little dated. Carpet stained in some places. Towels worn and thin. Old style blankets on the bed. Room quite small. Separate bathroom, some stains on the bench. Clinging old style bath curtain. Breakfast a... More

This hotel was just blocks from the Guggenheim and surrounded by tapas bars and restaurants. But the staff was not friendly and unhelpful. The parking was unavailable when we arrived and we had to park in public parking garage several blocks away. Their own garage is right under the hotel but to get to it you have to drive all... More
