Stayed at Gurea for 2 nights on our recent trip and was very happy with everything. Great price, great location, very clean, safe and the staff are very friendly. We did not experience the "noise" other reviewers have mentioned. Also really liked that they had a lounge area with coffee machine ... good for very early, or late at nights.... More

It is situated in the old town and it's very clean and safe. Staff very friendly and helpful. It has bad soundproofing and although it's on the 3rd floor it doesn't have an elevator. But for us, these were minor ploblems. If we visit Bilbao again, we would love to stay here again.

Stayed one night alone and it felt very secure. Very clean and comfortable. Only downside is can be bit noisy if your room faces into the street, better to request interior. No air con but wifi is great :)

Set right in the heart of the old town in Bilbao this is a great place to explore the city for those on a budget. We were going to stay in the much more expensive Sofitel but we chose here as we were only in Bilbao for 2 days and we wanted to be in the centre of the action.... More

I recently spent a long weekend here from 5th to 8th July with 5 others in 3 of the rooms at this hotel. All 3 rooms were very basic but clean. The location is good, only a 2 minute walk from the nearest metro station and its right amongst the busy bars and pubs. If you cant walk up stairs... More

I stayed in this hostel with my seven friends and really enjoyed a lot. We chose this place because it was an unplanned trip and we had no booking anywhere else. The place offers good accommodation at affordable prices. The property is well maintained and all the guys there were professional and trained. They know how to treat and accommodate... More

I would not do it again. This hostel on the third floor is cramped, poor quality, grubby and has paper thin walls. The good news is that the staff are friendly and helpful and you are located in the midst of a vast array of restaurants and bars. The nearby tram will take you to the Guggenheim and the main... Excellent location right in the heart of the old quarter. As reviewers have said it is noisy late into the night but that is the attraction of this quarter. If you don't like this then just commute into here for the day and leave at night. If you get outside and enjoy some pintxos you will really understand what Bilbao... More

Cheap and cheerful, English speaking staff. Great for the weekend stopover if all you need is a bed and facilities. The Deli opposite does great Hornazo (Spanish meat pie) hangover cures and there's an ace little gelato/ice cream shop down the street for afters. It's up a cobbled street so primarily walking access + 3 flights of stairs up so... More
