We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Arriaga. It was located in the Old Town close by many good sights and food and transportation. The owner was so kind and friendly. We enjoyed our interaction with him and his family. The room suited out needs perfectly. Comfortable beds, clean ensuite bathroom and nice balcony. At times I felt like I was... More

We loved the Hotel Arriaga in the Old town of Bilbao. Th location in Old Town could not have been better..we walked to the metro and train station,,,out for Tapas,,,always felt safe and enjoyed the old Town area with the locals...the hotel has parking and an elevator and the value was spot on...not fancy but fun , clean and the... One of the great things about this hotel is location, definitely one of the best in downtown near to the river. It's a familiar business, you can see the grandma, daughter and son running it everyday. Unfortunately for us we asked for a double room with full bedroom and we got two twin beds joined as one... Towels are not... More

Whatever I can recall about this hotel was perfect. It is a decent place for all types of travelers. Rooms are intelligently designed and decorated with all things of comfort. Staff was present all the time to help us. They all were very quick and efficient too. Breakfast was the only meal I tried there and it was great. I... More

We feel like we are staying in a gracious old home. The reception area is filled with lounges and potted plants and momma is a lovely old lady and her daughter is very helpful. The room we have is on the corner overlooking the river and the beautiful theatre, with two balconies and huge windows. A large bedroom with nice... More

I really liked this hotel. it wasn't too expensive - I turned up on the doorstep quite late in the evening and got a decent double room with a balcony. It is in a great location - opposite the tram stop. When you arrive at the bus station in Bilbao it can be a bit daunting - because it is... More

This is a simple one star hotel but it has all that is necessary. It doesn't do breakfast but that can be eaten very cheaply next door. The hotel is on the edge of the old town and not far from the railway station. There is a computer for guest use

Took this hotel as a last resort, as there was a convention in town. Pluses: There's a cat! Parking is available. Free wi-fi Minuses: -odd smells -not so clean -mediocre service -unprofessional... I had to remind who appeared to be running things that she made me an offer which we agreed upon. The difference was a nominal sum, but the... More

I "planned" (not my strong point) a short trip to Bilbao and surroundings. Normally I pre-book accommodation being too lazy to spend hours trudging round trying to find a place to stay for two days. (In fact the really helpful person at the Bilbao central tourist office would have phoned and booked for me but I wanted to look at... More
