This is a quinticential European hotel: Small beds, small rooms, dated decor. My understanding is that this is the hotel Spain's matadors stay at when in Bilbao. One would think they could find a little more upscale place. Overall, there were no problems and I appreciated the hotel's proximity to Bilbao's attractions. more

I have just returned from a long weekend in Bilbao staying the The Ercilla with two girlfriends. The Hotel is modern with a business feel during the week and obviously does a bumper trade in wedding parties on a Saturday night but the room was modern, spotless, comfortable and extremely quiet at night although we were on the 9th floor.... more

A week-end rate gave us an unbelievable rate. Room was average size and OK bathroom for a mid-priced hotel. It's location allows you to walk anywhere a tourist need to go. The hotel is clean and in a very comfortable area. Top level shops are in the area. more
