Charming, friendly, great atmosphere. Great location in the heart of the Old City (Casco Viejo) and excellent value/price ratio. Truly cosmopolitan, you will find guests from all over the world. Staff fluent in English (and I suspect in French too). Each room has its own decoration and personality. Good Continental breakfast, albeit a little expensive.

there are two nice things about the hotel: location (in Casco Viejo, close to best bars and caffes in town) and interior (lots of strange things). the room was ok, bathroom was a bit fashioned. also, the walls are very thin, so it's either you will disturb someone, or someone will annoy you:)

We always stay at Iturrienea. It is centrally located in the Casco Viejo with the big parking garage not far away. Lots of bars, shops, restaurants....and the tram stops just down the street. Great location, very easy to get around as the tram is close and the metro nearby. We didn't actually stay here because there was a mistake with our booking but we were offered another pension nearby, with the two night's accommodation for free, they also offered us breakfast. Very good location for exploring Bilbao. The staff was friendly, and the rooms are clean. You couldn't ask for more with these prices.
