Beautiful hotel. The great hall is overwhelming and a wonderful place to sit and have a drink. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Our room was clean. It had a large terrace facing the grand patio. Unfortunately, an ongoing wedding celebration caused a lot of noise one night which made sleeping impossible. After several inquiries, the hotel offered... More

The Hotel De La Reconquista may not be the best or the most convenient hotel that we stayed at, but it remains memorable and impressive. Originally a Palace, then an orphanage, it is now a beautifully restored hotel. My main complaint was that you have to grovel to plug in a computer. The shower was over the bath, but there... More

A beautiful old Palace converted into a comfortable hotel. Nicely decorated rooms, very quiet, if you choose one facing the huge inner court, some come with private terrace. Only inconvenience: the bathrooms are equipped with very loud toilet flashs, so you can hear at least half of the hotels guests flashing... Very convenient to explore the historic city center. What... More

We stayed for 4 nights in this lovely old spacious hotel with amazing Eurostars breakfast. Reception could not have been more helpful, telling us where we could find the bears of Asturias, and find them we did. The hotel does comfort everywhere- the enormous downstairs public rooms, the bar where we were treated by the hotel to local sidra, the... More

This hotel seems to have changed owners in 2014 so you can probably ignore most reviews before that. For example, the decor in this hotel is some of the best I have seen with authentic period furniture and its spotlessly clean throughout. There arent many hotels where I would take photos of the insides but this is like staying in... More

My wife and I only spent a night in Oviedo, but we did so at the incredibly beautiful and comfortable Hotel de la Reconquista. The location was ideal for going to various parts of the city. We were only a few minutes away from great restaurants and attractions such as Calle Gascona and a block away from el Campo de... More

One of the very best we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Fabulous decor and ambience of this old building with all the convenience and comfort of a modern hotel. Excellent staff with a second sense to informality bringing the whole experience to your level. Quiet and very well equipped rooms offering a wonderful vista over the courtyard. Informal... More

La Reconquista is a classic in Oviedo, very well located, beautiful landmark, well maintained, nice rooms. Take a walk to the Gascona street and enjoy Sidra and tapas, walk to Urias street to do great shopping or just walk a block to the park, everything is close by

The hotel is amazing for it's architectural value but the food is not what it used to be, I've stayed at la Reconquista for several times for years on my family trips to Oviedo and this is the first time that I don't have an amazing experience. The restaurant used to offer high quality food and great service and now... More
