Getting to this hotel without a car is simply impossible, since it is in an area rather far from the cenetr of Gijon, and even with a car locating it is far from easy (I did not have a navigator, and I spent about one hour looking for it and asking around....). This said, I really loved it: the area... More

We stayed one night in this hotel in July on our way back to Poole from Gijon on the ferry. We didn't stay on the way from Poole as it was fully booked. The Hotel is an old family home in good size grounds. Plenty of antique style furniture and car parking within the gated grounds. The room was very... More

Thank you very much for your comment. Although not serve dinner in the hotel, nearby restaurants offering allows dinner without having to go to the city center. Kind regards, Jesus Velazquez-Duro More

The hotel is very charming and is run by a family who are very proud of the hotel (which comes across in many details). We arrived late in the evening and were given a very warm welcome which couldn't help but cheer us up after a long days drive. The rooms are spotless, location very quiet & breakfast spread good.... We are glad that you have been comfortable in our hotel. Regarding the pillows, if you had asked, I would have offered another pillow. Thank you very much for your comment. If you go back to Gijón we are happy to receive you. Kind regards, Jesús Velázquez-Duro More

We felt at home in this quinta. Situation is only 2 km's from autostrada A8. On the backside of the hotel you can hear some noise from the autostrada. The rooms are quite and spacious with original old furniture and a good and strong A/C. We left one window open to sleep with fresh air. We did prefer the first... More

We stayed one night in this beautiful building, our room was very comfortable, and bathroom spotless. Breakfast was adequate, dinner was not an option, but were given information about restaurants nearby, walking distance, bit dark on the way back! the grounds of this hotel are extensive and has some fantastic old trees. Slept well until the house alarm went off,... More

We stayed three nights at this elegant hotel on our way from Galicia to the ferry at Santander. There is no doubt that this is an excellent historic hotel, in the same family for 5 generations with large elegant rooms with classic antique furniture. Excellent near silent aircon. The family Dura were excellent hosts and provided all the information needed... More

Spent one night prior to the ferry from Gijon. Lovely building with comfortable rooms and antique furniture. Gardens are a spectacular selection of mature trees. The tranquility of the place is beautiful and the friendship of all is amazing. Breakfast is available and is a good continental selection and although an evening meal is not offered, there are plenty of... More

We stayed at the Hotel Quinta Doro on the first night of a two-week holiday in Green Spain, having driven there directly from Santander port (approx. 2 hours). Although we were only there briefly, this was one of our favourite hotels and, with hindsight, we should have booked two nights to enjoy the hotel grounds and explore the Gijon area.... More

Thank you very much for your opinion. I hope you have enjoyed your journey through Spain. Our orange juice is always freshly squeezed natural and happy and we know that our clients value positively. We stayed here one night. We got off the Bilbao and wanted a stop before we travelled on to Galicia. This is a perfect spot as it is just of the motorway and is easy to find (if you have sat nav). Excellent hotel with traditional interior and lovely large garden. Countryside location and feel but only 20 mins from the port. Sat nav took us direc to the front gate. Friendly, welcoming and a good breakfast. 5 mins in the car to a good restaurant.
