I was here in September 2015. The hotel was nice, clean rooms, and lovely people working there. Nice bar to take a beer, and something to eat after your finish after a long day of work. The only thing that is not good at the hotel is the Internet, that is crap. You must punch in a long username, and... More

Wifi didn't work; staff, when asked, mentioned that there was a general problema with it in the hotel that day, and that service people had been noticed. Ammenities where unbalanced (i.e. 2 shaving sets, no dental kit). Only one and almost hidden power plug; for more, you have to unplug lamps. Staff very friendly and helpful, excellent location in Gijón,... More

A really cool hotel, with a lovely location opposite the park. A good brisk walk along the seafront to the restaurant area - just right to walk off some calories! Close to the beach although hard work carrying a long board [husband - not me!]. Very helpful at the front desk, and excellent value for money for a September stay!

We stayed at the Tryp for a night on August 5th. It was a nice Hotel, with clean, fairly spacious Bedroom. For some reason there isn't a restaurant, but the Cafeteria provided Tapas, Pasta and Burgers which for us was fine after a day's travelling on the Ferry. Breakfast was Ok, but the staff could have been abit more friendly.We... More

When I booked this hotel many months prior I virtually stuck a pin in a map and thought it would be a nice place to visit. Little did I know the day we arrived was a public holiday for the town & there was a big bullfight on that night. There was no parking anywhere, not even in the hotel... More

Spent over a week here in a family room. We loved Gijon and Asturias and had a great holiday. This is a beautiful part of Europe that we will undoubtedly revisit. On the plus side the breakfast was very good and hotel was clean and well maintained. The location was good for young families as directly opposite an excellent park... More

I travel to Gijon on business occasionally and the Tryp Rey Pelayo is my hotel of choice in the town. I would also use it for leisure travel if the chance arose because I trust it. It is not on the seafront but a short walk of less than ten minutes will get you there. Similarly, the downtown area is... More

We were two adult ladies traveling through Northern Spain. We couldn´t find a worse spot for an overnight. Arrived at 5,00pm and had no one to help us with our luggage. At 7,00pm had nowhere to grab something to eat. At 7,00am had no breakfast. I haven´t been in a hostel before, but I would dare say this is worst... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a working trip. Team was friendly and efficient. Rooms and bathrooms large. Very Clean! Beds not the best. Very nice to see the attention to detail with their travel toiletry packs free of charge in the bathrooms (toothbrushes, razors, sponges, etc). Wifi connection was free and speed was acceptable. Location was ok, not too... More
