We stayed only one night of a 2 week tour of Spain, but loved Zaragoza and Hotel Sauce. The beds were comfortable, nice linens and towels. Stayed here for 2 nights when the Queen visited the city in late July. As mentioned before by others, location excellent for sightseeing and its a easy 7 mins stroll to Placa Espana for shopping. Four of us stayed for 3 nights. We could not fault the Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful & friendly and the transfers from/to the hotel were perfect. I chose Hotel Sauce because Isabel personally responded to all of the comments written here on TripAdvisor. I mentioned that in my reservation and received a welcoming E-mail from her prior to even leaving the USA. She is the customer service agent for the hotel. Wow!!! We spent one night here. excellent value having booked through bookings.com. rooms small but clean. The big plus points are the hotel's ideal location just 5 minutes walk from El Pilar. its own garage underneath the building opposite and the fabulous breakfast. Oh and free wifi ain't bad either! The only downside was the noisy building work outside. more

Looking at past reviews this seemed like a great choice as it was number 1!! The staff are friendly(especially the breakfast lady) and plenty of them. We stayed at the Sauce twice during our week in Spain...our intent was to stay there on our way to Hondarribia on the north coast. Very easy to find, close to river and Cathedral. Parking a few metres away with narrow driveways! Nice hotel with good size room, airco and wifi. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Many restaurants in area. Would stay here again! more

Perfect hotel, particularly location and service. The front desk assistance was incredible. Do not understand why it is a 2 stars hotel. For the rooms, service and location should be a 4 stars! more

But you are right! :-) We would only need more space for the common areas, but as you said ,our location, hospitality, warmness and beautiful rooms, make you feel like in a 4 star hotel....
The Good: 55e/night for a single, decent sized room. Room pretty nice, nothing fancy but more than decent. Bathroom with a bath. Free wi-fi, they even have a sign in the lift saying to ask at reception for your free wi-fi in the room. We love Australian people!!, and it is funny because there is a very long distance, all the way across the Ocean to get to Spain and specially to Zaragoza ( which is not as famous as Madrid or Barcelona) , but we have many Australian travellers that come to our hotel to visit Zaragoza. and stay...
