A better location couldn't be found. Situated in the middle of the historic city centre. 2 min walk to the big Pilar Cathedral. 1 min walk to shopping area. 5 min walk to el Tubo tapas area. Rooms are clean. Beds very comfortable. Hotel staff friendly. City hotel like a city hotel should be. Only thing to keep in mind:... More

We had planned to stop in Zaragoza to break up the drive from Barcelona to Bilbao and had reserved a room accordingly. I think we ended up with an upgrade, because the room was quite spacious and the price was much lower than we paid elsewhere during our 2 weeks in Spain and Portugal. In addition, the hotel offered a... More

My partner and I checked in to the Catalonia El Pilar for a one night stay in Zaragossa. We arrived fairly early and upon check in we were told our room was not ready and so we went for a walk and they held our bags for us. When we returned we checked in and received the wifi password and... More

I stayed here for two nights and I enjoyed every bit of it. The rooms are clean and spacious with a small balcony perfect to watch the busy streets from above. Great staff and most of the sights are within a 5-10 minute walk. Staff at the desk are very helpful and will hold onto your luggage if you wish... More

After researching many options for a short visit to Zaragoza, I chose the Catalonia El Pilar for its location and excellent value. The hotel exceeded my expectations on all levels, from the efficient, polite desk staff as check in, to the excellently appointed room. On a lovely small square, and very near many of the main attractions of Zaragoza, the... More

This restored hotel was very comfortable, with spacious rooms. Our rooms on the fourth floor looked out over rooftops, and were very quiet. The bathroom was great, with a heated towel rack. The service courteous, and all of the old town sights were within easy walking distance.

We stayed here for four nights. We had a room overlooking the little plaza. We found the room comfortable and roomy, the bathroom was spacious. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was just a short walk to the Plaza del Pilar, where you have a large array of eateries to choose from. We had a car, and had to... More

Beautifully restored Modernista building - formerly an apartment building. Immaculate facility. Excellent breakfast. Small restaurant with limited menu - slow, typical Spanish service. Beautiful rooms - - excellent value. Main shopping area within walking distance. Many restaurants in immediate area. Highly recommended. Difficult to reach by car due to location in old town.

Perfect location with very good service. Rooms are clean and functional. The breakfast felt picked through and there was nobody around to replenish when we ate there. Buffet. Machine had no milk. Through no fault of the hotel, there was a ton of noise coming from street bar well into the night. Be sure to ask for a room on... More
