This was a comfortable and accommodating hotel that is well located in Zaragoza. Very close to the main plaza and the cathedral. The only thing we found a little troublesome was the parking, but that is often the case with city hotels. We did use the hotel's parking location (15 euros/night) but getting to and from it is a bit... More

Hotel located just 2 blocks from El Pilar - our room was on the 5th floor and was very spacious with a large modern bathroom. Beds were very comfortable- in fact we both slept so late we missed breakfast. Wait to buy the breakfast option - you might get a discount when checking in ( we did). Parking is about... More

From the moment I had to move our booking around I knew we picked the right hotel. Staff were accommodating, responded immediately to the request and handled it all smoothly which was exactly the standard of service we received for the entire stay. Located in the old quarter it was easy to find by car, parking advice was spot on... More

Stayed here for four nights. Clean , modern interior, fast efficient lift, two in fact. We were on the fourth floor with a wonderful view over the roof tops of the towers of the basilica which was very close, they were lit up at night and looked wonderful. Lovely room and very comfy beds. Breakfast very good but sadly cooked... More

Stayed for three nights. Hotel is situated in a historic place and all the attractions are Within walking distance. Hotel is clean. Staff is very helpful and always smiling and welcoming. Rooms are ok and bathroom is big as compare to other hotels. I would recommend this hotel. If you travelling with family than I suggest go for superior room... More

Good standard hotel just in the heart of Zaragoza, few meters away from El Pilar, shops and restaurants (calle del tubo just few meters away). The building is really nice, an ancient palace that has been rebuilt maintaining some original parts. Rooms clean and quite big, service nice and assorted breakfast buffet.

The Catalonia El Pilar sits in a small square ideally situated for getting around Zaragoza. We took a taxi from the airport, which cost just under €24 and took about 20 mins. Reception is good and very helpful with information and booking tables for dinner. Our room was to the front of the hotel, overlooking the square with 2 small... More

Heading up to the Rioja wine country we decided to fast-train it out of Barcelona and pick up a car from Zaragoza. We saw El Pilar on TripAdvisor and booked in advance. A short taxi ride from the station, we were dropped to the door and met with a friendly welcome from Jorge. The hotel looked nice from the word... More

We really enjoyed our two night stay here. Friendly, helpful staff, a good tasty breakfast, excellent location and a good price. Yes, there was a party somewhere in the neighbourhood but that is Spain. Yes, there is no in-hotel parking but that is Zaragoza and its traffic free city plan. There was a special discount for breakfast and discounted parking... More

Dropped in on spec as we were enroute back to UK. The receptionist was very helpful and nice. He showed us the room prior to us checking in. The room was similar to most corporate hotel bedrooms. Can agree with some other critisim re star rating. The Hotel does not have its own parking, you need to use on street... More
