A centrally located hotel, minutes away from river, cathedral, tapas bars and right in the town centre. Rooms are clean, well laid out and quiet though the emergency light over the door does annoy when trying to sleep. Food is decent enough and staff are helpful. Fine for business trips and facilities are good, just a little soulless and lacking... More

Stayed here for a short break, location is good for exploring the touristy bits of the city. From the description I thought this was going to be a good comfortable 4 star hotel, but it is only about par for the course and I wouldn't rate it as a 4 star at all. Room was O.K. sizewise, was supposed to... More

I participated in a workshop at this hotel and I just experienced common areas and their catering. The hotel decoration is fresh, modern and newly build, catering is good and staff is very friendly. It is centrally located and they even have swimming pools ;-)

The Alfonso is nothing special, but if you want to be located near to some of the most beautiful religious buildings and some really good tapas bars, it could not be better situated. The room was clean and comfortable, but there were a few limitations. The bathroom had quite limited toiletries, and for a person with dodgy knees, I found... More

We only stayed two nights at this hotel. On arrival the receptionist was friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. We were given a double bedded suite on the 11th floor, having previously requested a balcony if possible. The room was luxurious and spacious, as was our bathroom. The towels were soft and large. Robes and slippers were also available... More

for money...we stayed for a couple of days and everything went well...position is 10...service is good...the only cons are the parking (difficult to reach) and the the swimming pool...which it doesn't look like a swimming pool...we rent also bicycle which are a good way to enjoy the city...no breakfast required as it too. Much expensive compared to all the bars... More

Not too bad - you hardly hear the trams outside but in our room the fan in the bathroom was very loud and it same on for a few minutes randomly during the night making for a very poor nights sleep. The bacon at breakfast was a liitle funny tasting .. sweet or something.

Didn't start well with the clerk at reception grumbling about his system not accepting our ID cards.. Not my problem! The room was clean, good windows kept the noise of the trams out. The room was 507 beside the lift but didn't hear any lift noise. The fan in the bathroom had a mind of its own and must have... More

Dear guest, We regret all the inconveniences during your stay. I´d like to inform you that the indoor pool is opened from October to May, when the outdoor one is closed. Both of them are seasonal. Rooms are clean but relatively small. Hotel atmosphere is rather cold, especially bar/breakfast area. Swimming pool is very small and no towels provided on spot, so you need to bring the one from your room. Bathroom amenities were limited to soap and shampoo, which we found minimal given the standard of the hotel. Breakfast offering was ok but poor in... More
