I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel that carried noise from the halls and stairway so much. The hotel consists of rooms built around a "courtyard" type common space with one main open staircase. It was so unbelievably loud - you can hear every footstep, every word. Hi, The Y.H. Giralda is situated 40 metres from the Cathedral just off the street leading from the square bell tower. This is a comfortable hotel in an excellent location. Staff were friendly and professional throughout the booking process and the actual stay. Note that since the rooms are located around a courtyard, noise is amplified (doors closing etc) but I imagine that since this is typical of Sevilla's Old Town architecture, many accommodation places will have a similar problem. more
