The breakfast was better than we expected after reading some of the reviews. For five euros it's not worth looking elsewhere in our opinion , unless you're looking for freshly squeezed orange juice, and a full American-style breakfast. The location of this hotel is perfect. And the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room on the third floor was... more

This is a very Rick Steves sort of hotel – central, simple, clean and well-priced. We loved everything about Seville – the street life, the orange trees, the cathedral, the bars and the tapas, the classically stylish people. A lovely surprise awaits you at the Alcantara, as just beneath the hotel there is a cultural centre with stunning flamenco performances... more

We stayed in Seville at Alcantara at the end of May and decided to return in June on our travels back across Andalusia. This is a great hotel, fantastic location right in Barri Santa Cruz. Staff were so helpful and freindly, hotel is very clean and rooms are standard but good. Right next door is a flamenco show but despite... more

This hotel was a little more than we usually pay for hotels but it was worth it. The room was large (including the bathroom), great bed (a twin room with 2 twin beds pushed together) and it was quiet. The windows opened onto an interior courtyard. The staff was great at answering our many questions. There is a breakfast you... more

rooms: simple and small, clean and a couple toiletries- might want to bring your own staff: really smart staff, won't steer you the wrong way, avoid the flamenco show at next to this hotel- heard it is not good, pay for the good show which is 30 euros per person- definitely worth it- Rocio was awesome- (redhead woman) recommended a... more

The location of the Hotel Alcantara is the best thing it has going for it. It is on a pedestrian-only street smack dab in the Santa Cruz District very near the Cathedral and neat bars and restaurants. The hotel, while not at all fancy, is very adequate and clean. The staff at the front desk is super nice and helpful.... more

I've stayed here with my wife twice and was equally impressed with the staff and facility both times. It is in a great location near the cathedral and tapas bars, with just about anything you'd want to visit within walking distance. The staff went far beyond the call of duty in assisting us when we were sick by calling in... more

We have just returned from a trip to see the Feria in Sevilla and stayed at the Alcantara Hotel, which we had chosen having read the good reviews on tripadviser. The hotel certainly lived up to its reputation and we thought it provided excellent value for money. It is very centrally located in the Old Town. We parked in the... more

You couldn't pick a better location or a more personable staff. I was grateful for Jorge's help when I'd left my phone battery charger behind after checking out. I called to ask a favor - to have it overnighted to my next hotel in Madrid. He took care of everything and was very accommodating. more

The Hotel Alcantara was a bit more expensive than other places I stayed during my Spanish trip but it was a case of getting what you paid for. the room was small but very clean and comfortable, with a view of the patio. It was also very quiet - most of the time all I heard was birdsong and the... more
