This hotel is right in the heart of Santa Cruz, down a tiny passage which opens wider near the hotel. Check a good map to find out where exactly Lope de Rueda is - it will save time. Location is spot on in the middle of the Santa Cruz barrio - the hotel is surrounded by tapas bars and a 5 minute walk to the Alcazar and Cathedral. The Murillo was a great place, great value, nice room in a great location. Spanair lost my bag flying from Barcelona and the staff called the airline a few times for me to help in getting it as my Spanish is more than a little sketchy. My husband and I enjoyed our two-night stay at this hotel. It was in a great location in el Barrio de Santa Cruz. Great location and nice rooms. Unfortunately our room window opened up to a street light that I could have draped a towel over to darken. It also overlooked the plaza below with an open air restaurant/bar that was noisy until early next AM. more

We have just returned from Spain, including 4 nights at the Seville Murillo. The location is great, even romantic...cobblestones and winding passages. However, our hotel room was noisy and cramped, even by European standards. Recently spent 3 nights at this hotel. Its very well located in the old town near the cathedral and Alcazar. Pleasant and clean with helpful staff. Public spaces furnished with interesting antiques.
