We just had a wonderful New Years Eve and New years day at this charming hotel in Seville. I almost cancelled my reservation after reading some of your reviews, but we are delighted that we stuck with it. We booked three rooms for our family and since the hotel only has seven rooms, we practically had the place to ourselves.... more

Four of us travelled to Seville on 28th April and decided to treat ourselves to a nice restaurant for the first night. After checking Google and Tripadvisor we decided to book Taberna Del Alabardero. We were very disappointed to say the least. The restaurant was beautiful but unfortunately the food did not live up to the setting. We returned one... more

There was a lot of stuff I liked about this hotel. The guy at check in was really friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious: the focus of this place is mor eon their Michelin-starred restaurant and cookery school, rather than on the hotel. And it shows. My room was hotter than the core of the sun - this was... more

Michelin has it right: this is a restaurant (an outstanding restaurant) that has a few rooms upstairs. The seven or so rooms are all on the third floor surrounding a very charming courtyard. On the first floor there is a bar and cafe; on the second there is the excellent restaurant where we enjoyed dinner on 2 nights. We booked... more

The hotel is built with a big internal court-yard, bathed in natural light from the glass ceiling. There was usually a lively atmosphere with Sevillians coming and going for lunch and dinner. We ate at the restaurant upstairs (there is a less expensive one downstairs that we did not go to); the food and service were excellent. I echo the... more

We planned 3 days at the Taberna del Alabardero, with 2 friends arriving at different times the same day. I called from the US and was told I could have an early check-in. Arriving at 12:30, not only was I told I couldn't check-in, I was told there was no reservation for that day. After some searching, the staff told... more

This hotel is a surprise package - small and intimate, but with the trimmings of a five-star establishment. For instance, the wider range and upmarket quality of the toiletries in the spacious bathroom, the spotless formal uniforms of the hotel staff, and silver service at breakfast. The decor is very Spanish, with the rooms decked out in a rather Victorian... more

November 2003, continuous rain. Loads of athmosphere in this hotel. Rooms well furnished, but not in the Hilton stile, comfortable beds, good bathroom. The patio was a very nice place to sit, just sit, Jugendstil all over! Friendly waiters. Breakfast (not buffet) really excellent, fresh rolls, a variety of fruits and jams. The butters all had a different taste, none... more

having read a review saying that breakfast was a real problem, I almost did not book this hotel. In fact breakfast is wonderful. You can order whatever you want and. the chef prepares it to a five star standard. the buffet has only croissant and orange juice, but that is just to get along with whilst you want for your... more

I recently stayed at the Taberna del Alabardero and was greatly disappointed. The rooms were nice but not worth the $215 we paid for the night. The lunch we had was average and the service was awful. Lastly, the free breakfast included was a disgrace with cold coffee and day old bread. I would recommend staying down the block at... more
