We were pleasantly surprised not only by the hotel but how easy it was to find and with the added bonus of free parking in the square opposite the hotel as we had heard parking was expensive. The hotel is very close to a lovely park and an easy walk to the tram and bus stops. The hotel exceeded our... more

The Melia Sevilla may not look good from the outside, 70s concrete style, but once you get inside you will be pleasantly surprised. Very modern, if not a little off the wall when it comes to decor, but it makes you smile. Our double room was lovely and very modern, a good comfortable bed, and an excellent walk in shore... more

Was there during Holy Week; had a little difficulty getting there because of the changes in bus routes and the swarms of people during the afternoon's processions, but took is as part of the experience. Very close to Plaza de España and Carlos V Avenue (2 blocks each); take the EA bus to the airport on this avenue; bus stop... more

I stayed at the Melia Sevilla Feb 8-13. An excellent, modern hotel and a good choice for the business traveler. Single rooms are a bit small, but comfortable and very clean. Double rooms with king beds are considerably larger. My single room had a queen size bed, a small table, a small desk, a side chair and nightstands. Very large... more

The exterior of the hotel is in disrepair, but the foyer has recently been renovated very nicely. The standard rooms are acceptable (I was told that the junior suites are the way to go, with much better facilities). With a few exceptions, the "service" was unforgivably bad from reception staff, bar staff and restaurant staff. They seemed to have no... more

Recently back from Seville and stayed at Hotel Melia Sevilla. Pros: 1) The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Served from 7-11 am gives plenty of time to wake up early and go or sleep in. It has a large selection of food items with good service. 2) The poolside has a great view of the Plaza. 3) Good location in Seville... more

I liked the Melia Sevilla from the moment I arrived. The foyer/lobby is very spacious and sports a 70's Modern decor complete with dramatic free-form upolstered furniture, a pool with running water, dramatic lighting, and white leather sofas. The bar is several steps down and features more dramatic lighting. A bank of five elevators provided fast and efficient transport to... more

We stayed for 3 nights and we had a room on the top floor overlooking Plaza Espana. First it looked fine but we soon realized that, after one flushing, the toilet would not flush anymore. The first day was spent trying to have it repaired. Supposedly it was repaired but, it malfunctioned again. Repairman came back...turned the bathroom into a... more

This hotel was perfectly adequate as part of a Conference stay. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, I did not have an evening meal but chose to eat out. There was a very nice friendly bar just around the corner and the food there was excellent. My room was small and had a lovely view across to the... more

The Hotel is a business hotel that is located 15-20 mins walk from the old town, ie the Cathedral, Real Alcazar etc. Its a large business hotel that hosts large international conferences, it is typical of its type. more
