Hotel was fine, we had a beautiful view of the palace gardens which was unexpected and really added to our stay. We had showers the first night, everything was fine but the next day when I turned on the shower the water was brown. I rang reception and they told me to let the water run for a while that... more

We got a tiny room (3m x 2.5m) with a tiny window facing a wall, The room was actually in the size of a bathroom of the other 5 hotels we visited in Andalucia. There was no fridge, no desk and the walls are paper thin. The breakfast was rather poor and some of the reception staff didn't speak English.... more

We loved this room. We were here 3 nights and found the room very nice, clean, and comfortable. Even though the room was on the street, we were on the 2nd floor and across from the park, which more than made up for the noise. At first, we were in a small "inner" room with no real window - not... more

This place looks great in the pictures....and I don't know where the room is that was photographed online, but it was certainly not the room I was given. The bed was dirty, the room was dirty. The one tiny window in the room was blocked with a locked metal blind. The bathroon was not as dirty as the bed but... more

Location is great. Walking distance to Santa Cruz and Cathedral. Other than that nothing going on for this hotel. The whole place looks worn out and tired. Staff was okay but insisted that they are booked up beacuse of the April Fiesta when we requested a decent room. The room was small and again looked tired and worn out. The... more

The Alcazar was a good bargain, is in a marvellous location with the Park immediately in front and the Barrio Santa Cruz just a 3 minute walk through that beautiful park. The Cathedral and Alcazar itself are just another five minutes. To the left of the Hotel is the University and the Maria Luisa Park (about 15 minutes walk). Check-in... more

I had a good experience at this hotel. The prices are reasonable and even someone on a budget can stay here. It is in a good location and is very clean and safe. Don't be put off by the sign from the outside, as it is old and worn, but once you get into the lobby and better yet into... more

We stayed at the Alcazar at the beginning of April 2006 for two nights.A charming Hotel. The reception staff were extremely polite and helful .Bedrooms/Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. We had a wonderful view over the gardens and towards the cathedral, which was breathtaking at night. The hotel is on a busy road, so if you require absolute peace and quiet this... more

Totally disapointed with the hotel. Poor room, unfriendly staff. An excellent view but only! We asked for a non smoking room and they assured the room was a non smoking but it was not. The smeel was awful.Forniture badly manteined. Excellent location. Breakfast very expensive. I wont stay there again. more

Just returned from a month in Spain of which 3 nights were spent at the Hotel Alcazar. It is true that the hotel is close to all the major sights, that the staff is reasonably helpful and that the room was clean and relatively newly decorated. But that was more than undermined by the noise both from the street and... more
