Lovely hotel in the northern part of the city, but with easy walking distance to the historic sites. We chose this hotel as we were driving in, and navigating around cities like Seville is not for the feint hearted! We were going to take advantage of the hotel parking in the next street, but luckily found a spot in C/Parras.... More

Tucked away in one of the impossibly narrow streets, the hotel is impressive once you get inside. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, which is all you really want. Let down by the fact lifts were broken, we had to carry our suitcases up three flights of stairs. Room was fine and I have to assume that in the summer,... More

Happily recommended. Hotel is located north of the city, we love walking, so the 20ish minute walk to the heart of the city was lovely, just ambling through the back streets watching the world go by. Hotel rooms are modern, LCD TV, new decor and bathroom suites. The room we stayed in was on the ground floor, high ceilings and... More

We enjoyed four nights bed and breakfast at the San Gil in La Macarena area of Seville. Our accommodation was a comfortable good standard room overlooking the white marble courtyard. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We found the location was perfect for us for ease of travel in to the city centre on foot or using the excellent... More

We stayed in the junior suite on the top floor for 3 nights. The hotel pro-actively proposed this two-room solution to us as we travelled with 2 small children and it was cheaper. Fantastic location just off calle feria, very clean, pool looks great but is not heated. Only major let-down is the breakfast and that is confirmed by regular... More

We selected the San Gil for a brief visit to Sevilla after spenging time in the Cadiz/Jerez area. The main reasons for our choice was the rooftop pool/terrace, and the fact that the hotel did appear to have some character. We got a reasonable deal on a Junior Suite, which initially we thought was nice, however the additional lounge area... More

This Hotel is located in a quiet street close to the basilica de la Macarena. Early Flight arrivals are asked politely to go and find a coffee until your room is ready. A lot of the rooms are typical "City sleeper" style, functional, clean with comfy beds and plenty of Hot water on tap, but with windows only opening internally... More

Mid October we visited Sevilla when it was 30 to 34°celsius. We choose San Gil since it is somewhat out of the city center. The location needs you to take a taxi (generally around 5 euro) to the center and these are nereby at the Macarena church. The hotel has a nice sunroof with small swimming pool (not heated). If... We stayed for a long weekend in Seville and picked the San Gil because it had some semblance of character, was within walking distance of other districts, had a roof-top pool and was reasonably priced. Plus it is a 15-20 minutes walk to the old part of town, unless you get lost, which is entirely likely as I've never found... More

San Gil is in a deprived area of run down streets and more like a 35 minute walk or a 7-9 euro taxi fare into the historical centre. Breakfast is just adequate and hot food barely warm served by grumpy staff. The restaurant menu is unbelievably the room service menu, which consists of a few salads, tapas and toasties which...
