Nice hotel, a bit of a trek to the centre, but very good if you want a tast of the true Seville. Very noisy at night as sound travels up through the atrium and you can hear toilets flushing from other rooms. Don't go to the bar across from the hotel (La Tertulia) complete rip off merchants!!!

We stayed in the San Gil early last week, April 19/21, 2015. It was apparent this hotel struggles as there seemed insufficient staff at all levels. Dinner on the 1 st evening was a long draw-out affair with waiting times between, getting a menu, ordering and eating to over an hour. Breakfast was a bit of a bun fight, not... More

Beautiful hotel and delighted with room. Marble floors and large bathroom. Wifi free but a bit ropey in room. However 5 stars as so nice. Area full of cafes nearby. Lovely walk to cathedral through the historical centre.

Our room was a box with a window opening on to a building well with very little natural light. The view from our window was a glass walled corridor and stairs about 3 metres away, so we had no privacy. All of this we could have overlooked because there is so much else to like about this hotel - its... More

On arrival the reception and courtyard are visually stunning ... however both could be utilised so much better. Our room was large and very comfortable and housekeeping was first class. This hotel has so much potential, unfortunately it falls short. Most of the staff were pleasant, but seemed to be run of their feet and distracted. However a couple of... More

A reasonable hotel, getting a little dated now but a beautiful court yard to enjoy breakfast or a quiet drink in the evening. A short walk to local eateries and tourist locations. You are greeted well by a great porter service who will park your car on your behalf at a local secure and safe parking area for $17 per... More

Just inside the old city walls and 25 minutes walk from the cathedral and Plaza d'Espana this is a lovely hotel in a fantastic city. On arrival we were asked to wait with a welcome cocktail while a porter came to take our bags to the spacious, well appointed room. The hotel courtyard was delightful, with the scent of Orange... Stayed here for a week and had a pleasant stay. Was a bit worried after reading the reviews on the noise and did experience a few banging doors which echo through the place. It was not difficult to close the door to make less noise. It did not ruin our stay as we did so much walking we were pretty... More

The Hotel San Gil in Seville is a special place. A beautiful property, with rooms surrounding a charming central courtyard, the San Gil is a great place to retreat to from the bustling city of Seville. On a quiet street, the hotel is a 2-3 min. walk from the Basilica de la Macarena (a worthwhile place to visit) and a... More

The Hotel San Gil was ok for our week-long stay in Seville, however there wasn't anything particularly special nor outstanding about it and there were a few niggles. Pros: - Clean - Surrounding areas are quiet (one small bar opposite seems fairly busy but nothing you can hear in the hotel) - Room was very spacious - Rooftop terrace was... More
