This is one of the best places we ever stayed in. It is one of the two top hotels in Seville- the other is the King Alfonso XIII. This is a trendy, high service hotel and reminded me of a "W" Hotel in the US. Through the Melia Hotel Points Program, we received three nights for the price of two... more

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. It is completely modern and was just redone in a very elegant and modern way. The rooms are ultramodern and are a very good size. We chose the basic room based on the square footage as compared to the "red level" and were not disappointed. We didn't have... more

Stayed for 5 nights and overall thought it was very good. The hotel has recently been refurbished and it looks great. The rooms are very modern and equipped with just about everything (although you need a computer degree to master the lighting). No pool but a nice roof top terrace with jacuzzi. Booked the red level as it promised drinks,... more

The hotel is ultracontemporary. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast is not included, and the price is outrageous! Otherwise we loved it. more

Our family just spent two nights - during holy week - at the Melia Colon. We had two rooms at on the "Red Level". First the Positives: Location: The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is within walking distance of all the major sites that we wanted to see, and some of the processions could be viewed directly from... more

Booked a one night stay here as we were going to watch England play Spain at football and wanted a top notch Hotel. Booked directly with the Hotel as we are a family of five and needed the rooms next to each other (no interconnecting rooms). On check in we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite (with sofa bed)... more

We stayed for 2 nights. Hard pillows, hard beds, worn furniture, mold on the air conditioning vent, worn sinks in the bathroom, and linoleum walls in the toilet area that were coming off the walls. In addition you could hear other toilets flushing at night. The front desk staff were inattentive, started conversations with other staff members in the middle... more

After reading the negative reviews, my husband and I were apprehensive, to say the least, about our stay at the Melia Colon. We were pleasantly surprised when we stepped into the elegant circular lobby with its stained glass dome ceiling and period décor. Our room was enormous and featured lovely hardwood floors and two balconies offering panoramic views of Seville.... more

We arrived at the Melia Colon hotel on the 16th March 2007 (after going around the block several times, driving in 3 to 4 lanes of traffic and navigating policemen’s directions, we only found this hotel by myself jumping in a taxi which my husband then followed). We were pretty stressed by the time we go to the hotel. The... more

I was concerned about staying at this hotel considering some of the reviews below. I think some of the concernslisted herein are a bit exaggerated. Yes, the hotel is on the older side, but it's very classy and professionally run. Try to speak some Spanish with the front desk staff rather than simply assume that everyone speaks English. If you're... more
