I have to disagree with the other reviewer here. I too have stayed in many hostels, and have a lot of experience to draw from. I just recently stayed at Terrapin Station for the second time in a year.

The description of the hostel tells travelers what to expect. It is truly a no frills place but it has everything you need and nothing you don't. The guest to bathroom ratio has not been a problem on either visit and the owner keeps it spotless. Security is not a problem - in fact one girl left her Macbook sitting in her open bag on the table in the main room. It was untouched. I've traveled there both solo and with another female and always felt secure.

As for the other complaints, the internet cafe is not even a minute walk and very inexpensive. I'm not sure where a phone is in the Albaycin at all, but then again, I wasn't calling anyone anyway.
