i stayed at the Hotel Casa del Pilar as part of a group trip with G Adventure - the rooms are large and clean - so is the bathroom ! Nice toiletries were supplied as well. The hotel has a nice sitting room/bar area and another bar/restaurant right beside it where you can have a drink or have breakfast (not... More

Casa Del Pilar is a beautiful little hotel designed in a Spanish/Victorian motif. It's classy, well kept, and the rooms are cozy. Great location... Just off the main square and walking distance from the Alhambra (Granada's main attraction). On the downside, the wifi is spotty and our TV didn't work (though we don't spend much time watching the tube while... More

Pros: This is not like a regular hotel. It seems like a residence converted to a hotel. The entry is through the eating foyer of a very crowded restaurant/bar downstairs. The rooms are very spacious of nineteenth century design, with high ceilings, tall, narrow windows, balconies and non-functional fire place. The room heating system is not very efficient (probably due... More

The only benefit of this hotel is the location. The service does not exist, forget reception or having some tips about the city. My room was just ok, it needs some fresh paint and the light ceiling did not work. It was not dirty but did not look clean neither, even if bed was done every morning, i doubted floor... More

There are plenty of great places to stay in Granada. This one has no redeeming qualities and the opposite of charm. If you want a hotel with no services, no breakfast, no staff on premise most of the time, you're better off at a nice pensión. Three of us had views like the one in the attached photo, one had... We have been at Casa del Pilar for two nights and did enjoy staying there. First of all, we have been welcomed very warmly by the kind staff of the hotel. The lady at the reception was willing to help also with touristic infos. We stayed in the suite, which has a nice view on the old town and was... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the this charming old hotel. We were amazed at its incredibly perfect location, ideal for visiting the Alhambra and other historic sites. In this hotel we really felt like we were in Spain! We loved the heavy beamed ceilings, the interior courtyard restaurant, and quirky back staircase access. Though we did... More

We were only staying two nights and were met at the door of the Casa del Pilar, which we had chosen because it was a refurbished building in a good location( we know Granada well), to be told that there was a problem with the water heating and we would have to go to the other hotel Plaza Nueva for... Perfect location for exploring the city. Taxi rank and bus stops moments away. tourist info office and Hammam virtually next door. tourist and locals eateries all around you. Characterful building with just 11 bedrooms. Although rooms 104 & 204 do not have a view at all and room 104 is like a dungeon. Gaining access after hours to the hotel... More

Situated next to the plaza nueva, this is a very nice hotel although at the moment undergoing some renovations in its public area. The rooms are very clean, nicely decorated, with bathroom, and the hotel is generally very inviting. The neighborhood, however, is not very quiet, and youngsters are partying deep into the night, so if you have problemsd sleeping... More
