Beautiful location, 15 minutes to Alhambra and city center, beautiful old bulding which is very nicely furnished, beautiful grounds, beautiful view, very clean, breakfast on nice terrace with great view. Manuel is the perfect host - giving all the important recommendations and tipps - we felt very much at home and had a great time in Granada! Thank you!

Small family run hotel in a great location very close to the Alhambra. The owner Manuel is possibly a little intense for some, but we found him very helpful, simply concerned to make sure everything was as good, and enjoyable for his guests as he could make it. Highly recommended

As so many others have stated, Manuel is amazing. Travelling from Madrid by bus, Manuel had requested my approximate arrival time and had given me instructions on where to have the taxi drop me off (Granada's streets up by the Alhambra are mostly pedestrian alleys with a few twisty turning small roads). Upon my arrival at the stated location (a... More

We are experienced travelers and stayed here at the end of a 10-day trip in Spain and Morocco. On our trip we stayed at some amazing little hotels with fantastic food and wonderful customer service, so our expectations were a bit inflated when we arrived in Granada. The bottom line is that we would not stay here again for the... More

We came to Granada for a day to primarily visit the Alhambra and this hotel is just down the road from it. Like every other review that sings Manuel praises, we are no different. He makes every effort to be helpful and incredibly welcoming. Strong as a bull too because this guy wouldn't accept any help with carrying our extremely... More

People make a place special, and thanks to Manuel the first moment we stepped into the hotel we found a warm and friendly atmosphere. Do not let the drive discourage you, its worth! Clean rooms, comfortable beds and good location.

We stayed in this hotel for one night on a weekend break to Seville and Granada. My party consisted oy my wife and myself and my two teenage children. The hotel is located very close to the Alhambra and has spectacular views looking down over the city of Granada. When you arrive it feels like you have arrived at Manuel's... More

We chose the Carmen based on the tripadvisor reviews and we certainly were not disappointed. It is in a splendid setting overlooking Granada, as well as being close to the Alhambra. Our host Manuel could not have been more gracious and helpful. As first time visitors to Granada, we found his suggestions to be excellent supplements to the guidebooks' commentaries.... More

Manuel is a gem, very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. This is one of those place that is small, quaint and treats you like a special friend. It is also a place that attracts interesting friendly people.

We stayed here for five nights while exploring the beautiful city of Granada. This small hotel is located above the city, just below the Alhambra which is only a 10-15 minute walk. To reach the commercial areas, you can walk down to the center in perhaps twenty minutes. The walk down is usually by a stairway/sidewalk. (See below.). The downside... More
