We stayed here for a 3 night visit to Granada. The hotel is spotless, comfortable and in an amazing location. Our room had views towards the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada which was wonderful to see at sun-rise and sun-set. We did not meet the owner untl the day we left but Lorenzo was a most attentive and informative... More

Wonderful service at a lovely hotel where we were treated like guests at a home. We had the top floor room - big with a stunning balcony view over Granada. Location cannot be beat however... be aware you are at the top of a steep hill - you will get a good thigh workout walking home! Google maps is deceiving... More

This beautifully appointed Carmen made our visit to Granada my favourite place in Andalucia. We had the top room 'La Torre' with a private balcony overlooking the old town. Whilst it was quiet and peaceful with amazing views, it was also a short walk to the Alhambra and down to the old town and its cafes and restaurants. In other... More

This hotel is centrally located and has a few restaurants within easy walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and clean. If you don't feel like walking to the restaurants then you can have dinner here which is very reasonable. Breakfast you have a wide range to choose from either hot or cold.

Stayed two nights at the Carmen and what a wonderful find! We had the top room with a private balcony and it was a truly special place to stay. Manuel and his team were helpful with directions and recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was truly lovely - better than staying in a bland 5 star hotel. The... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. We had the top room with private balcony which was absolutely breathtaking. The room was super clean and the bed was soooooo comfortable. Reminds me of a bed and breakfast but better. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the Alhambra which was a plus because we had to... More

Everywhere in old Granada involves steep walks up or down. From this quiet small hotel there is a short climb up to the Alhambra Palace Hotel from which you can always get a taxi. You can also carry on up on foot to the Alhambra itself - but make sure you book online. The walk down from the carmen to... More

My husband and I decided to stop over at Granada & found a lovely hotel described in Booking.com it said it had car park & was a short walk to the city Centre - perfect just what we wanted .... after booking and paying the day before we left La Manga we then received an e-mail from Manuel giving us... As we tried to find this delightful Carmen which was located on a hill above the city, we were defeated by nightfall and the medieval layout of the city's streets. A call to the owner, Manuel, saved the day. First he came out to meet us at a main intersection to lead us to the hotel. Then, upon learning of... More

My wife & I booked this hotel for three nights based on the many great reviews. The hotel is clean, well kept and its location is great for visiting the Alhambra palace. It is difficult to access, being on a steep, narrow cobbled road that could not be reached by our taxi on arrival, though Manuel the manager arranged for... More
