Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Ladron de Agua. We were there during a very hot period and the room was comfortable, cool and quiet. We had a superior room with views of the Alhambra and the Darro River, and loved being able to look out and see the sights as well watching people stroll by below us. The... More

El Ladron is in a great location and is comfortable, clean and understated. More like an upmarket hostel than a hotel. We never saw or heard about the drinks and tapas in the afternoon, but didn't miss it because Granada is so wonderful. Two negatives: the people next door to our room(La Luna) obviously had tummy trouble, and we could... More

We really enjoyed our stay at El Ladron de Agua. Every time we stepped over the threshold from the busy street, we marvelled at the sense of tranquility inside. We were happy with our room, with its balcony overlooking the river and the bathroom was great. The staff were always friendly & helpful. Serving an evening sherry in the library... More

We followed their instructions for parking to the letter which is essential. Then walked several minutes to the hotel. It is well situated on the bank of the Darro River just above the Plaza Nueva. That means walking distance to the Puerta de la Justicia of the Alhambra, good food around the Plaza Nueva and close to the Cathedral and... More

The location is perfect. You view the lovely river yet can walk everywhere easily. I recommend taking a taxi from the train station...about 8 Euros. The hotel is on a narrow street and the taxi can navigate this. You open an old heavy door and enter a charming house with a center courtyard. We stayed on floor 2...remember that floor... More

The hotel was in a great location in the old town with all of the local attractions nearby. We found all of the staff friendly and helpful, especially in advising us how to get tickets for the Alhambra (which should be booked in advance). The bed was comfortable, the bathroom good for an historical hotel, however, the lighting in the... More

Glad you found our hotel and our staff so much to your liking. Access by car to the historic area is restricted and we try to alleviate any potential challenges by providing detailed information on the hotel´s website. Hope to see you in Granada again soon! More

My family stayed here for two nights during Semana Santa week this past Easter. The hotel is located in a very historical district of Granada at the foot of the Albayzin district as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were in a brief panic earlier, as we could not get tickets to the Alhambra, but the hotel... More

El Ladrón de Agua is like a little oasis in a very bustling area. The rooms are comfortably luxurious, while retaining the feel of an historic home. The king bed was very comfortable, though they do what a lot of places do in Spain and push two smaller beds together, which created a bit of a gorge in the middle.... More

We were very excited at the prospect of staying at this hotel, however on arrival we realised we were in a small dark room at the back. All three nights we were kept awake by people in the room above, rowing, talking all night and packing at 3am in the morning. The lack of sleep was not good and I... More

Behind the old wooden door is a modern 15-room hotel based on the Moorish concept of atrium and central water fixture..rooms are off of galleries overlooking the central courtyard. The rooms are named, not numbered. Very well-located on the edge of the Albaicyn with uphill views of the Alhambra and just a few yards away from the lively Plaza Nueva.... More
