We spent five days in the Zaguan del Darro to get to know Granada a little better. The Zaguan is very centrally located just below the Alhambra and some of the rooms have view of the this amazing historical complex. There are countless restaurant to explore in walking distance. The Hotel is very comfortable and each of the rooms has... More

Small hotel with lots of Spanish character. We especially appreciated the quiet, cool, central inner courtyard after a hot day of walking. A little under-staffed but friendly and efficient service. Our room faced a stream and we enjoyed the sound of running water. Very central - taxi rank just down the road and three minutes to Alhambra footpath.

The room was too big for me although I booked a single room! As I was there in February it was pretty cold and the heaters didn't work properly! Service was kind of on but spoke very poor English! The view to Alhambra eased the pain :-)

we changed our hotel from anacapri to this hotel. the price rate seems to be ok €60. but when we moved into the hotel, the room was smelly. we thought it is going to be ok after opening window. but it didn't. we went out for the evening and when came back, the smell was unbearable. we called the person... Hotel Zaguan was the highlight of our 10 day trip to Spain. Stepping out on our adorable little balcony to see the Alhambra all lit up at night was like a dream. The view was otherwise equally awesome during the day over a fairy tale like setting with cobbled street, stream flowing by, stone bridge to a wonderful little cafe... More

The location (at the base of the Alhambra, really, so the night view from our window was stunning) cannot be beat, and the historical nature of the place (16th century courtyard) lent extra atmosphere to our stay. The only--the only!--thing I would ask is that the management change the drains system in the sinks. The sewer smell was pretty high... More

Great location. Rooms differ....so be sure to ask to see it before. They told us we would need to change rooms after one night as they only had balcony rooms available for the whole duration. Unless we paid extra money....We didn't. Anyway this wasn't true....there was rooms available. Since we had problems with our bed, they had to give is... More

Hotel location was ok but the hotel is very old and run down. Beds are about 20 years old and our one actually had a broken leg which has been patched up 3 previous times. Tried to make us pay extra for a "better room" at check in, we declined and they said we would have to move rooms the... More

The rooms are so pretty. If you can, snag a room with a view of the Alhambra. It’s about 2 minutes from Plaza Nueva. About 25-euro taxi ride from the airport or 11-euro taxi ride from the bus station. No hairdyers in the rooms. Very weak and spotty wifi. Friendly staff. Stairs to get to the reception/main lobby. And lots... More

Hotel Zaguan was charming and conveniently located (if not driving) and a great value! We were very happy to reserve and get room 301 which has a balcony overlooking the street with a nice view of the Alhambra. From the hotel, we could walk to the Alhambra, the Albayzín, and many outdoor restaurants along Rio Darro (with Menus del Dia... More
