We arrived thanks to the taxi that was sent by the BB to pick us up at the airport. It is a well hidden beauty in Granada. Located strategically to get almost anywhere in the center of the city, it has one of the most attentive staff I have found in a long time. We asked for the Alhambra tickets... More

Highs: good location, easy to get to center of town, Alhambra; quiet location on a side "street" that's pedestrian only; helpful staff and excellent instructions of how to find the place - although I don't know if non-Spanish-speakers would agree; fortunately that was not our problem; place was clean; wifi access. Lows: What part of B&B don't they understand? They... More

We spent 3 nights here at the end of a fabulous holiday in Andalucia and it was everything we hoped for. A beautiful old converted house with large spacious lobby, luxurious rooms and a lovely courtyard garden to the rear perfect for breakfast in the morning and for relaxing in the afternoon with a nice cold plunge pool in which... We had a large group stay here to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Raul and the rest of the staff made our stay so memorable. They were so helpful with reservations and recommendations for all the parties in our group. They also helped us host a small reception on the Friday night when everyone arrived- with a delicious 3... More

We had several friends staying at Carmen del Cobertizo for a weekend and could not have had a lovelier time. A charming setting with an incredible staff who did everything possible to make our stay maravilloso! By the end of the stay, we all felt it was an extension of our home and fouind it difficult to leave. Very highly... More

The hotel itself is a beautiful restoration and the staff is very knowledgeable about its history. They were so gracious in helping us make and then change several events for a large group I absolutely loved my room and the breakfast included home baked breads and homemade marmalade on a lovely shaded terrace If you are looking for a hotel... I like staying in all types of hotel and enjoyed this one as it is slightly quirky and has an intimate feel. Welcomed at the large wooden door by one of the owners who spoke less English that I speak Spanish but greeted us with a large smile. Our room was on the first floor, spacious enough and I found... Fantastic old-school palatial hotel, hidden in narrow old-town passages, with a courtyard garden and an alberca (arab-style fountrain serving as a mini swimming pool) for cooling down. You can see the Alhambra from the top floors. Very close to all important places and amazing bodegas with wine and tapas. Super polite and friendly service, especially the concierges Alejandro and Raul.... More

I confess that I just don't get the overwhelmingly positive reviews for this place. I stayed here 2 nights in June, 2014. First, the positives. Excellent location, close to the city, close to the old section and close to the Alhambra. Charming and quaint, a restored 16th century building. The proprietor is very nice and exceedingly helpful. Problem #1: This... More

Such a quaint place to stay in Albaycin area...so close to everything. No mod cons like air con, TV or phone but not really necessary. The beds could've been a little more comfortable and the rooms got a little hot so wheat to change over the blankets and quilts a bit. Shower was great but just using shower curtain water... More
