Property was beautiful, old Spanish Villa in great location, convenient to everything. However, if you have a car there is NO parking close by. You must park in public parking and take a taxi to hotel, you still have to carry luggage up two flights of stairs to get to get there. Room was spacious with charming vintage decor, that... More

We found this to be a delightful hotel in an excellent location in the Albaicin district - just a step away from the busy Plaza Nueva but an oasis of calm. Entering from the street is a surprise as the space opens out into the central covered patio which is a very attractive room with tasteful furnishings. The two main... More

Nice comfortable hotel in a good location. Well worth staying if you want something different to a standard type hotel. Great location to explore the old town. Staff very helpful with advice on restaurants and bars to visit. Loved the peaceful charm of the hotel.

I had a feeling I would love this place when I read the description, but the reality even exceeded my expectations. To start, booking online was really easy with a prompt response. The staff attached very helpful directions and a map since the streets in the old town are difficult to find and navigate. Once on the street (or alley... More

We stayed in this hotel last weekend for 3 nights and we simply loved it. It is exactly our kind of place: feels like a home rather than an impersonal hotel, every item around has been chosen individually and the result is that the Carmen del Cobertizo is unique and it feels it belongs to the place; breakfast is shared... As a family of 5 with children ages 6-12 we rarely stay at B&B's, opting instead for rental flats or hotel suites/connecting rooms. That being said, we wanted to splurge a little and stay someplace more personal. This is a special property loaded with unique touches and character. My kids loved pulling the cord to ring the bell at the... More

Thank you very much for your comments about: "One comment is probably that the bathroom (in our room) could have a bit more shelves to place our toiletries. One thing to note in this house and also most Spanish hotels is that the floors can be cold during Winter. The floors are mostly not carpeted (Like in this home, the... More

At first we had trouble finding the place (we took the long hard route along Calle San Juan de los Reyes instead of going through the shorter much easier route through Carrera del Darro) but we finally located the Home after 30 minutes, by asking a nearby hotel. However, the 3 day stay at this Home was an entirely lovely... More

This hotel must be very nice in summer. However we were there in the end of november. Temp around 8 Celcius during te day and freezing at nighttime. The owner decided that it was not cold enough (?)so the heating was only on from 17.00 hours till 22.00. And in the morning just over 8 o,clock on again, brrrr. That... More

Amazing experience. There is a real sense of place staying here that you don't get at big hotels. They upgraded us to suite as was available and Raul and the other two members of staff we encountered were super helpful, infomative and generally delightful. Certainly recommend and will return.

I usually don't write these reviews but this hotel/guest house deserves special mention. Raul and his team are great and know how to treat hotel guests. I was already looking forward to this place even before having arrived. He helped us make our limited stay very enjoyable and its a pity that it was booked for the 2nd night or... More
