A very good hotel in a great location. Yes our room was a bit small but it was adequate. Some people seem to have unrealistic expectations of large rooms in the centres of old European cities, this is rarely the case. There are many reviews regarding how good the location of the hotel is, I agree. The staff are excellent.... More

The main reason for my trip to Granada was to visit the Alhambra, so this place really fit the bill - about a 15 minute uphill walk. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The room was small but charming. A nice touch were the free sweets and drink in the sitting room downstairs. Breakfast was adequate... More

Nice little hotel superbly placed for the Alhambra and the Albayzin. Booked late and had very good email communication with the hotel who sent clear directions on how to get your car through the limited access streets of the old town. Parking is in a public car park under a shopping centre about 10 minutes walk away so you need... More

Shortly after booking the room, we received a welcoming email from the hotel with helpful suggestions on visiting the Alhambra. They helped us with tickets, in the course of an evening -- all by email. In person, the front desk was always helpful. This hotel has a great location. Our room looked out over the street: but even on Saturday... More

I have stayed 3 weeks in Andalucia, but this was the lightest room of all hotels. Very important to me, though those who dislike daylight can simply keep the curtains drawn! Problem with heating sorted out by very helpful staff.

I truly don't understand why all these great reviews here! The room was so small, that bringing our 2 pieces of luggage inside made every action impossible (e.g. going to the toilet, dressing etc.) Basically there wasn't any space left to move a feet! And then, all the little minuses appeared. The recycle bin in the toilet didn't even open... More

I was traveling on my own and opted for this hotel because it was so convenient to the Alhambra. My room was very small, there was a rack and some shelves for clothes, no closet. The bathroom was also very small and I could not use the tiny sink without getting water everywhere. My room had a window on the... More

A brilliant place to stay in Granada. All the staff were excellent and so very helpful. We walked up the hill to the Justice Gate of the Alhambra - well I was pushed in my hired wheelchair ! A truly memorable visit to Granada three day visit . Many thanks to everyone at Puerta de Las Granadas.

-- Outstanding friendly and helpful staff. -- Complimentary coffee and tea on cold days. -- Location right on the side of the Alhambra hill. Physically, this is a typical quite small European 3-star hotel, but the human/service factors make it special. Don't expect trendy "boutique" flavor; it's not that kind of place at all. It's just a friendly and homey... More
