Excellent location in the center of Granada within a convenient walk to the bus to the Alhambra. Our family had two rooms (a double and a triple), which were simple but clean and comfortable with a fridge. Our triple room had the best shower, with the strongest water pressure, in our entire stay in Spain. Also, convenient garage for the... More

Although it seemed recently renovated, the only advantage of the hotel was it's location. The room was below average. It was dark, stifling, not pleasant to stay in. Fortunately we stayed there for only 2 nights.

This hotel is in a great location for a visit to Granada, right in the shopping area and very easy to find from motorway. We paid 4 Euros for taxi to Alhambra, which can't be missed. Lively area but no noise in room, comfortable bed and shutters on windows giving complete darkness for a great nights sleep. Staff very friendly... More

It's on a major shopping street, so no problem finding it. There did not seem to be a lot of English spoken at the front desk: at first they could not find my reservation and I had to pull out my laptop and show them a screenshot of the confirmation. Apart from that it was basically OK: room was clean,... More

Perfectly situated hotel with exceptionally helpful staff (we checked out but left our bags till later on that day) that has all the essentials well covered. Parking was a joy as the staff valet parked the car for us!

You get what you need: good heating or A/C, friendly and helpful staff, WIFI (slow, but without fuzz), garage opposite the street, fair price, and you are well treated with your pet. It's close to the university, the cathedral, and to the shopping areas. The rooms are not really cosy or stylish, but comfortable with all what you need.

I volunteer in a local expat club and we used this hotel as part of a two day trip to Granada, we had 10 rooms all of which were fine, some did overlook the internal courtyards but for one night this in not a problem and means an even more peaceful night. The beds were amazing all memory foam and... More

A clean modern hotel in the City centre. Very basic but a comfortable bed and a quiet good nights sleep. Menu and bar are token and you will choose to eat out. There was a courtesy fridge in the room but then the snacks are always overpriced so did not use it. The bedroom looked over a lightwell but better... More

what should you know about the Hotel Universal? The location is easy to find and offers parking. The room was spacious and had a super comfortable memory foam bed...which was divine after a day walking. The airconditioning worked well. The hotel offers free WIFI. There is a rooftop bar/lounge that serves drinks and snacks. Mostly you should know that this... More

Despite being by the busy main road, the room was completely silent at night - thanks to very effective double glazing. The beds were comfortable too, and the cafeteria on the 6th floor was perfect - with an excellent outside area from which you could just see the corner of the Alhambra. Very grand and imposing entrance with enough room... More
