My wife and I spent one night at Hotel Plaza Nueva before taking off on our driver up the coast to Barcelona. I chose this hotel because it is very convenient to the Alhambra which we visited. The hotel was very comfortable. Only issue was parking and hauling of luggage. Parking for the hotel is extremely limited so we had... More

The hotel isn't much. It's old, it's not comfortable, but it's location is one of the best in Granada. You're a step away from Alhambra, city center, Albaicin, Sacromonte, etc. And it's not expensive also. So you may loose some comfort to get this location! They have parking. It costs 20€ a day (normal price for Granada), but be sure... More

Yes, it is facing right into Plaza Nueva, a great location with literally hundreds of tapas bars and attracting right at your door. Some of the best tapas I had in Spain was in a bar one minute away. However, expect your room to be old, with a mediocre bed, and expect to listen to people partying in the streets... More

If you want to stay right in the heart of it all then this place is for you! Albeit a bit noisy at times (to be expected with the location) Hotel Plaza Nueva is a great, affordable hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a room with windows that opened out to the street below, therefore was probably... More

The location was perfect with lots of restaurants nearby, Granada Cathedral, Alhambra and a few more. If you want to have peaceful night, avoid the rooms in overlooking the square. A perfect budget hotel to stay in Granada.

When we first turned up, the hotel didn't have our reservation, even though we had an email from Expedia confirming our booking. They did manage to find us a place to stay for the night and told us to return the next day, when a room would become available. However, when we got this room, the toilet flush wasn't working.... I had booked another hotel in Granada, Casa del Pilar, just across the street from this one, but, upon my arrival, I was told that the air-con at the hotel was broken (or was it boiler, don't remember correctly already, had the same problem in Cordoba earlier). So, a man from the reception carried my luggage to the Hotel Plaza... More

Our room did not have a safe, so we were offered another room which was far superior, with 2.5 balconies and a bath. Our view was looking down the road towards the Cathedral so we had a ring side seat to view the Brass band at the beginning of Semana Santa. The hotel faced onto the main square so we... More

It is a charming hotel, comfortable and clean. The people at the front desk were nice and helping. It is located in the Plaza Nueva which is very nice and has lots of bars and restaurants. We were very satisfied by the location and by what the hotel had to offer: comfy beds and clean bathrooms. I would go back!

Granada is a huge place - masses of shopping areas, restaurants & bars in many suburbs and clusters. The belief that Plaza Nueva is the centre of Granada is more of a historical judgement than a contemporary one. This hotel is amongst the streets off Plaza Nueva, which in turn provides access to the steep pathways up to The Alhambra.... More
