Nice to stay in a tradional Spanish house they say it's 16th Century. Communal garden and central covered courtyard. Good position. All the info we were given about parking etc worked out. Children had a bunk in our room but could have gone on sofa in lounge

Very clean, easy to feel immerse in the tradition or imagine you are living in an antique age, beautiful mixture of tradition with modern basic needs, perfect for family with kids. Kids loved the place. Very clean and all easy to access. Very good location.

I think our apartment was number 6, the one that is advertised as having 5 balconies. It is really nice! It is room surrender by terraces, and with incredible views of the Alhambra. You can see the Alhambra even from the toilette window! The terraces are fabulous, there is a little one where you can seat to have breakfast and look at the views of the town, the Alambra and its gardens. At night is surreal! It is very well situated at the beginning of the Albaicin, the old quarters, so it is not difficult to access although there is no cars going till the door so if you have heavy luggage you need to take it by hand. The whole building is made of apartments but it is very pretty with a common area and patio very very pretty and quiet.

This hotel really is old town Granada.. Old narrow cobbled streets, old courtyard style building decorated in a moorish/ hippy vibe. Attractive common area with an internal courtyard garden. The rooms promising a view of the Alhambra have probably the best view in central Granada. Our room, advertised as a "five balcony room" had a five arched moorish style balcony with a an astounding view, was very large with a good bathroom and an quirky arrangement of a full private kitchen just outside the room door. All great, especially if your a looking for a romantic experience but with good plumbing. Down side is that it is the heart of the old town. There is no bus or taxi access to the door so you carry you bags about 200 metres up uneven cobbled stairways to get there. You definitely need the owners directions to find it, street name is slightly different on maps, GPS and street sign is Palceta de Porras (no las) or Placeta Porras. Name on door or "Hotel Carmen Jazmin". Best reference point for taxi/ bus is Plaza Nueva but still a maze. You need to contact the manager anyway as there is no one here most of the time and the door is locked. The manager comes up if you ring him with a specific time from a nearby building. No lift and rooms with view up two flights of stairs. We loved the space of the room and the hotel, and the whole of student dominated old town Granada has a throw back to the hippy sixties feel about it. But walking up the cobbled streets with their uneven stairs is fairly demanding especially at the end of the day and into the night. Upside is it's well lit, safe and plenty of good eating reasonable close. The market streets adjacent can be very crowded at times but deserted in mornings and after about ten at night. If walking, climbing is an issue, you need to book another hotel within 50 meters of the river and check taxi access as Granda's attractions are all up steep hills.

Great historic location in the old town with a lovely courtyard. The room was traditionally decorated with modern self-catering facilities and fantastic view of the Alhambra. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights and wished we'd stayed longer. This is an old house with a lovely pátio and courtyard. Our room was beautifullly decorated with old furniture and had a view of the Alhambra. Super comfortable bed. Friendly owner. Highly recommended.

Great apartment location made it. Room overlooked the Alhambra. Owner and family very welcoming and friendly. Would return anytime. If you want to go back in time this is the place for you. Wander around enjoy drinking in a tea house or going up one of the many alleys for architectural gems.

My mother and I stayed two nights at Carmen del Jazmin, a real gem in the heart of Granada. Close to everything by foot, from old Albaicin to central downtown, these beautiful apartments are in the perfect location, complete with Alhambra views. However, you might not want to leave this peaceful abode, with a comfortable indoor courtyard and tiny garden. In the afternoons you can relax and enjoy a tea service from Elena, who whips up amazing lemonades and lassis. She and the owner (whose name I cannot remember) are very helpful and gave great suggestions for restaurants, bakeries and bars. My only complaint about this place was it's inaccessibility. We had been given the number of a certain cab driver to call, who was meant to take us from the bus station up to the main office, which was a tier down from the apartments (which were not accessible by car). He didn't answer, and the driver we got left us all the way down in Plaza Nuova, so my mother and I had to shlep our bags through the cobble stones and up tiers of stairs (Granada is NOT flat). If they had someone to assist with luggage, this place would be perfect.

Don't be worried by other comments on hard to find. These Apartments are simply amazing. So you have to walk 100 metres along cobblestones! If you don't like the thought then stay at home! The georgous young man helps with the luggage. The Apts have a wonderful shared lounge, and garden. Views of the Alcazar were amazing! What a dream. This is what we go on holidays for! Very Moorish! The walk to the main city area is simple, through narrow cobblestone streets and stalls. If you are looking for somewhere authentic and somtething out of the ordindary (away from home) you will love it. Not difficult to manoeuvre at all.

The apartments are in a fantastic Moorish medieval building with a lovely patio and small garden. The location is terrific. Great views of the Alhambra. Unfortunately the place was not perfectly clean, with crumbs on the sofa, visible dust on the floor and a bad smelling fridge. The whole building looked a bit neglected. A bit noisy...you could hear people from other rooms.
