If you travel to Spain, make sure you don't limit yourself to just the two big cities of Madrid and Barcelona. Granada is a fascinating, smaller city rich in history and incredible sites like the Alhambra. The Palacio de Santa Paula is a fine choice, well-located near the center of town, the Cathedral and the old Moorish district. It's an... more

Our only complaint is that free wireless internet was only available in the main lobby. You had to sit in the lobby. That's kind of silly for a 5-star hotel. I would have preferred to make internet phone calls, and check e-mails from my room. I don't know what the technical problems are associated with this, but I would have... more

Nicely restored convent blending modern features with the original structure. Elegant downstairs dining room and courtyard. Helpful staff. Good central location with easy access by taxi to Alhambra. Far better value than the Parador San Franciso. more

This hotel is gorgeous, and centrally located for tourists. The common areas are lovely, as are the rooms. However...there is a major design flaw, that anyone considering this hotel should be aware of. The doors between ajoining rooms are not properly sealed. They are single, rather than double doors, and you will hear every little and big noise made by... more

We absolutely loved the AC Santa Paula - we had a beautiful room, and the hotel is in an old, beautifully restored building with a lovely courtyard. the amenities are great and the best we encountered in spain - FREE MINIBAR (doesn't get any better than that!), comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom with all the fixings. The location is perfect -... more

Liked: 1) Perfect location for visiting Granada; very centrally located, you can walk to every single sight and attraction. 2) Front Desk staff very helpful and extremely accommodating. We requested a late check-out (4 p.m.) for one of the rooms and they happily obliged. 3) Nice mix of old and new, renovation of the convent nicely done and the integration... more

Our stay at the AC Palacio Santa Paula was very nice and is highly recommended. We stayed for 5 nights and throughout this time, enjoyed the service presented by the staff and the comfortable room we stayed in. On arrival to the hotel we were met by friendly staff, and our room was upgraded upon check-in. The room was overlooking... more
