We stayed at the Hotel America for 2 nights, April 2nd and 3rd. As previously noted, the location is excellent for visiting the Alhambra, being right there. We like to walk, so it was not a problem walking down the hill to the old town, and back up. Online tickets to the Alhambra sell out earlier than we realized, necessitating... more

Really interesting building with a lovely courtyard in a great location. However, room very small and breakfast not good quality (e.g. stale croissant). Staff friendly enough There are buses from the city centre to the Al Hambra, but we walked down to the centre twice a day - only 10 mins but pretty steep in places / fine for average... more

Very cosy, homely feeling hotel right in a amazing location. Comfotable, characteristic rooms. Friendly staff. Quite a walk up the hill but great to be able to take a break at the hotel in between visiting parts of the Alhambra. Cute courtyard. Only negatives: Could hear other guests walking up and down the stairs. No TV in the room -... more

We stayed here March 24 to March 26. Hotel has a GREAT location. The room is tiny but very clean. If you are visiting Granada for Alhambra, this is the place to stay. Very cheap too. 105 euro per night for our room (Room 106). Make sure you stop by the Parador next door for their 3-layer dessert cake. Yummy. more

While the hotel is right within the property of the Alhambra, there was nothing else that gives this hotel an edge. Our room was very small and overpriced. We paid Eur. 110 per night for a tiny little room with a low quality bed. The breakfast was even worse. We got these little bread sticks and super sweet pastry. If... more

We were led to booking this hotel on the basis of its description in the Michelin Green Guide (I subsequently have found your website). What attracted us was the description as a 'very friendly welcomimg family run hotel'. This could not have been further from the truth. The reception we had when from the man when we arrived was ill... more

Beautiful hotel. Our room had a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The owner was a charming man, who did everything he could to make our stay a pleasant one. more

My husband and I spent two nights here last week as we travelled around Andalusia on honeymoon. It was just enchanting - a cosy, quaint, charming place full of individuality. Don't expect luxury but, having said that, we really loved the feel of the hotel and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. I wouldn't bother with breakfast... more

Location, location, location. We thought it was great to be in the middle of the Alhambra, but the first night we were there they restocked the patio cafe til late. On the weekends this is not a problem as the retaurant is not open. Taking the bus down the hill into town is easy for 1euro. Staff not the friendliest,... more

My husband and I loved the Hotel America for these reasons: LOCATION:It is right in the middle of the Alhambra which means it is a PLEASANT WALK (not hard at all) to the ticket office and grounds. The Alhambra is HUGE and it is meant to be walked. DO NOT TAKE people there who have difficulty. Ther are no trams--thank... more
