Last night we walked in the gardens of the Alhambra as the sun set, the long shadows picking out about five other people who were also enjoying the late evening pleasures of Generalife (the Summer Palace and gardens above the Alhambra). We returned to Hotel America after the gates had closed. Such evenings become fixed in the memory, ambling around... More

Everything about this place is great: The staff were were helpful and super nice! The room was really pretty with lots of dark wood, but also really nice details and colorful tiles. The view from the window was amazing. As I sat out on my balcony looking at the Sierra Nevada's snow-capped peaks, many tourists turned and took my picture.... More

We stayed one night and had a wonderful visit. It was a five minute walk between the hotel and the night palace tour. We enjoyed a late lunch in the restaurant after we had checked in. While the meal was a bit expensive, it was not out of line considering we were inside the Alhambra walls and our food was... More

We stayed here for two nights. The brekfast was the worst I have had ever. The bread rolls were rock hard, the meat was like eating cardboard, there was no choice of yoghurt only natural. Worst than that was the meal dished up to me on the second night. I ordered the Beef stew what I got was a spoonful of... More

This was the most disappointing stay of a one month sojourn through spain. I am writing this review because I feel mislead by other reviews posted for this property. We had room 121. Every time the toilet flushed in the room above, it sounded like you were under Niagara falls. The room was tiny, really really noisy, and heat was... More

We stayed just for one night in the rooms right over the courtyard /restaurant and next to it. The rooms are clean and cozy, but small. It also gets noisy when restaurant is opened, up until 5pm. But you are in the center of Alhambra so we used the rooms just for sleeping. The staff is great but busy, they... More

A wonderfull stay at a very romantic hotel. Roms are excelent. Service is very friendly and good. Food are fantastic. The location is perfect for visiting both Granada and of cource "La Alhambra". The old palaces is the neighbor to the hotel.

IF YOU ARE ARRIVING BY CAR go straight to the hotel; they will explain parking to you. Although you cannot leave your car there, it is possible to enter the Alhambra grounds to unload your car at the hotel. On arrival at the entrance gate to the Alhambra use the intercom to indicate you have hotel reservations and they will... More

I was here with a group of 60+ year olds for 3 nights. We occupied almost all of the rooms. Have stayed here before and it was as wonderful an experience as the last time. When the crowds leave you have Alhambra to yourselves. It is magical under a moonlit evening. Rooms, food, and staff exceeded expectations. I would go... More

We stopped here for lunch whilst visiting the Alhambra. Without a doubt the worst place I have ever eaten. Extortionately overpriced tapas, bread as hard as a rock and each of our party of 4 was messed on by birds, even after moving seats. Farcical.
