We loved this hotel. We had a great room with a balcony which overlooked the courtyard.the staff were very helpful...booked us into the Alhambra and were able to give us lots of advise. We had lunch in the restaurant both days and thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

I have been here twice now, and would not make a trip to Granada without staying here a couple of nights. It puts you back in time and in the mood to see the Alhambra. Many tourists cannot open up to a few inconveniences to evolve into the climate and culture of foreign countries. Their expectations of a "ethnic" restaurant... More

like everyone says this hotel being next to the Parador's is convenient to visit major attractions- the Nasrid, Generalife, Alcazar, Carlos V Palace... etc. and you may stroll leisurely when crowds are gone. However because of it's location it's also a 15-20 minutes walk down to the visitors center, need to take a bus C3 to go down to the... More

perfect place for lunch after a visit to the palaces. Nice courtyard restaurant although it is shared with a lot of small birds. Friendly staff, albeit maybe understaffed a bit. Food was ok - omelettes were rather thin and portion of ham was small, but the blue cheese and walnut salad was very good.

The location great being a leafy courtyard but after that it was pretty much downhill. The harried waiter...who was doing an impression of the waiter in the TV show Fawlty Towers....struggled to keep up and we waited some time for our orders to be taken and when food finally arrived it was tasteless and poorly presented. Lastly it took just... More

This small unique hostelry is located within the Alhambra precinct so you can wander about the hill after the crowds have gone. The reception staff were always most helpful and obliging. When we arrived they got food from the kitchen after it had closed, and carried suitcases. However, our room on the 2nd floor was reached only by a narrow... More

We stayed at the Hotel America for two nights , mainly to visit the Alhambra and related attractions. Our pre-trip concerns about access to the hotel because of its location, off-site parking, distance from the the other Granada attractions, turned out not to be problem issues....access through the security gate was easy when we showed our reservation details to the... This hotel is extremely well located almost within Alhambra and has a very friendly and helpful management. However if you take the 2nd floor, you will not enjoy the stairs unless you like it stair climbing as a sport. And the second problem is that there was no heating when we stayed there and at night time it was really... More

Last night we walked in the gardens of the Alhambra as the sun set, the long shadows picking out about five other people who were also enjoying the late evening pleasures of Generalife (the Summer Palace and gardens above the Alhambra). We returned to Hotel America after the gates had closed. Such evenings become fixed in the memory, ambling around... More

Everything about this place is great: The staff were were helpful and super nice! The room was really pretty with lots of dark wood, but also really nice details and colorful tiles. The view from the window was amazing. As I sat out on my balcony looking at the Sierra Nevada's snow-capped peaks, many tourists turned and took my picture.... More
