What a fantastic hotel! Beautifully decorated and influenced by traditional moorish design. The beds were comfortable, the shower very powerful and the air conditioning made the heat bearable! The staff were so lovely and kind, it felt more like staying in a family home rather than any old soulless hotel. The people here definitely make the experience so I can... More

This is a really lovely and cozy hotel right in the Alhambra itself. We stayed on the second floor with a room looking directly out on the wonderful little outdoor café below. The staff was very friendly and helpful . The room was rather on the small side, and the furnishings were kind of Spartan, but we were quite comfortable.... More

There are only two hotels on the grounds of the Alhambra, Hotel America is one of them. Enough said about location. For those visiting the Alhambra (and who doesn't) this is the perfect location. Within easy walking distance to all that the Alhambra has to offer. There is a most convenient and very inexpensive bus system that will take you... More

Next door to Parador where we ate most of our meals on their shady terrace, looking across to the Alhambra. Comfortable room with breakfast, slept very well. Loved being up on that woodsy hill. Very friendly staff.

Not the cheapest hotel in Granada- nor the most luxurious, but the position in the Alhambra is fantastic- if like most people the main purpose of your trip to Granada is to visit the Alhambra. The check-in was fine- old fashioned but OK. The room was smallish and on the 2nd floor (there was no lift) but the courtyard where... More

We went into the courtyard cafe at about 11am after an early start for the Alhambra. After the crowds outside it was lovely and peaceful. A perfect place for a restful coffee before completing the sights. We were surprised how quiet it was ( only one other couple finishing a late breakfast). And only 2 euros a cup.

After visiting the sites, this is the first nice place to sit. After that it goes downhill, one frantic waiter with about ten tables that were too much for him. The beer was cold but the ham and cheese sandwich came on half -stale borlillos, dry. We asked for mayo and mustard to fix the meal and got two packets. Barely... More

We loved this hotel. We had a great room with a balcony which overlooked the courtyard.the staff were very helpful...booked us into the Alhambra and were able to give us lots of advise. We had lunch in the restaurant both days and thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

I have been here twice now, and would not make a trip to Granada without staying here a couple of nights. It puts you back in time and in the mood to see the Alhambra. Many tourists cannot open up to a few inconveniences to evolve into the climate and culture of foreign countries. Their expectations of a "ethnic" restaurant... More

like everyone says this hotel being next to the Parador's is convenient to visit major attractions- the Nasrid, Generalife, Alcazar, Carlos V Palace... etc. and you may stroll leisurely when crowds are gone. However because of it's location it's also a 15-20 minutes walk down to the visitors center, need to take a bus C3 to go down to the... More
