I didn't stay at the hotel, but had a lunch in the small travellers room. Since It wasn't likely that i would have a chance to eat before 22h (visiting the alhambra and getting back to Malaga) i decided to have a maincourse, Lamb. When it came i found 2 pieces of lambsbone with very little meat on it on... more

Boy am I glad I didn't read the reviews of this hotel before I booked it! I loved the place. The courtyard where you can have drinks and light snacks is really quite pretty, so is the enterance to the hotel. True, there is no elevator but they will help you with your bags. The breakfast room was decorated nicely.... more

If you are in Granada just to see the Alhambra and not spend a fortune, this is the place to stay. It is on the property of the Alhambra. Cute lobby full of antiques, nice little restaurant. on a central patio. I would not recommend this at all to elderly clients or families with children. There is no elevator, the... more

The Hotel America is located out of Granada at AlHambra. It is a quaint family run guest house and sits alongside the far more luxurious Parador Hotel. But it is full of spanish charm and has a gorgeous courtyard, and is in the beautiful surrounds of the AlHambra. Be prepared to walk out to dinner down the big hill to... more

We loved the location of this hotel – great for honeymooners on a budget or a romantic get-away (we were celebrating our anniversary). We agree with some comments in previous reports but by no means with all of them. For example we found the welcome friendly and service helpful. We had no examples of the service problems mentioned in some... more

We stayed here due to its proximity to the Alhambra and enjoyed our stay fully. The man at the front desk was very friendly, professional, and helpful, and our double room (No. 105) was very nice; simply decorated with a nice bathroom. No TV or minibar for those who want it, we are happy to be without... One thing I... more

We stayed at the Hotel America for 2 nights, April 2nd and 3rd. As previously noted, the location is excellent for visiting the Alhambra, being right there. We like to walk, so it was not a problem walking down the hill to the old town, and back up. Online tickets to the Alhambra sell out earlier than we realized, necessitating... more

Really interesting building with a lovely courtyard in a great location. However, room very small and breakfast not good quality (e.g. stale croissant). Staff friendly enough There are buses from the city centre to the Al Hambra, but we walked down to the centre twice a day - only 10 mins but pretty steep in places / fine for average... more

Very cosy, homely feeling hotel right in a amazing location. Comfotable, characteristic rooms. Friendly staff. Quite a walk up the hill but great to be able to take a break at the hotel in between visiting parts of the Alhambra. Cute courtyard. Only negatives: Could hear other guests walking up and down the stairs. No TV in the room -... more
