Stayed with a tour group so review coloured by this. Great location for Alhambra but not convenient for city. Local bus nearby. Hop on Hop off train very good value on a day ticket and stops adjacent to hotel. Hotel itself is OK. Rooms fine but odd layout means you can be woken by next door shower behind bed head!... More

Granada is a beautiful town in south of Spain with Moorish culture influence I had booked alixares for myself for two reasons 1. They "claim" to be a 4 star property 2. Location next to Alhambra Out of which the second point stands valid and that is the only USP of this property Being close to Alhambra makes it far... More

We stayed three nights in the Alixares hotel. Our primary goal was to visit the Alhambra and this hotel is perfectly located to do exactly that. You just have to cross the road and walk 200 meter to the left to find the entrance of the Alhambra. Since we were with car it was also important to have a parking... More

One of those 'kind of charming' hotels with a big bar and marble floored entrance, lounger seats and great verandah [if theres no smokers around!].Great position for visiting the Alhambra, just across the road, big room good facilities, good breakfast but stopped at 10.30 sharp, staff locked the door- on holiday its nice to get up and have a leisurely... Well situated for visitng the Alhambra and a 10 min stroll down to Granada. The bus stops are within easy reach and the new hop on hop off little train stops there too. We walked back up through the trees and even though it was very hot we did it in 20 mins. Staff very friendly and efficient, the service... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 11 nights in August. The location was perfect for us, it's opposite The Alhambra therefore the views are great with a host of trees and plants, Palaces and mountains! The area is quiet being up the hill from the city which is a 10 minute walk away downhill through a beautiful... More

Very convenient location for the Alhambra Palace but also near enough to walk into the centre of Granada too. Walk takes 10 minutes and then there are plenty of buses to save you the uphill walk back! Our room was large enough with a decent bathroom. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and gluten... More

Just opposite to the Alhambra, the hotel is the perfect location to visit Granada. We have stayed here twice now, and confirm that this hotel is really of good value. Negative : The breakfast room is very noisy, the lobby somewhat too. Positive : the outdoor barbecue restaurant (amazing view at sunset), the swimming pool, the staff, wifi in the... More

After driving in the hell that is Granada city centre, hotel has very easy access from the motorway and is right on the doorstep of the Alhambra. Basic ,but ok. We asked for a Sangria which came from a ready mixed bottle. Would i stay again , yes indeed

A very good location- just by Alhambra palast. The prices low for the room. Bad points: car- parking (costs ca.15-20€/ night), you have to pay also for the safe in the room if you want to use it. Hotel was clean. Stuff really VERY FRIENDLY and helpful. Nice was also the possibility to use the swimming pool after all day... More
