this was the last hotel on our coach tour and by far the best. the room was quite large and we had one that overlooked a small garden plot. it was lovely and quiet. the food was extremely good, we had dinner there, as part of the tour the cost of the buffet was €12, otherwise €14, which was still... Spent one night as a stop off on our way from Madrid to Tangir, Morocco and had a less than par experience. Upon arrival we asked for a wake up call the next morning, and within seconds the woman known as the night manager seemed to hate us for no apparent reason. Later that night I came down and set... Really you could not get any nearer to the Alhambra if you tried ! we were travelling through Spain by car and did not book in advance...its was extremely busy everywhere- in addition most of Granada is one way so made trying to find a hotel even more difficult ! ended up at the Alhambra Palace area and Alixares Hotel... As with many of the reviews on TA I have to agree that I also cannot see how this hotel has four stars - it just isn't up to the mark. However, in saying that, the reason for booking was the proximity of the Alhambra and for that it gets full marks. The rooms are comfortable although feel a little... More

Stayed for two nights as part of a tour. Nice room, spacious with good bathroom. Quiet location. The hotel is located 4 minutes walk from the entrance of The Alhambra Palace. Yes, it is at the top of a steep hill if you want to walk to central Granada but there are two buses that stop nearby and a tourist... More

Stayed 2 nights end of September as part of travel tour, so guide sorted the booking in etc. Ideal position for the Alhambra and therefore also road train down into the city. Busy place with tours, but quiet at night. Room certainly fine for 2 nights. Would however have found the location tiresome if staying more than 2 nights. Grateful... More

Just across the road from Alhambra and adequate for a few nights. Uses its location to maximum advantage especially at lunchtime when coach loads of tourists to the Alhambra descend for buffet lunch. We counted at least four different nationalities arriving and the staff were geared up to keep the food coming. The pool area was quite pleasant and peaceful... More

This hotel is located very close to the main entrance to Alhambra and the main car park. In fact, guest parking is in the Alhambra car park at a discounted price. To get the most out of your stay a junior suite with terrace is recommended. This will give you an excellent view over Granada. The junior suite has a... More

We visited this hotel as part of an organised touring holiday. This is obviously it's main business especially as it is immediately opposite the Alhambra entrance. For this reason it fitted ideally into our programme. However, although it bills itself as 4 star it isn't of that quality. The rooms are perfectly acceptable as is the bar area but they... More

Pleasant, clean room for 2 nights, nice external window. Breakfast poor even though appeared to be extensive buffet, quality and range of food disappointing, fresh fruit only in evening, none at breakfast. Terrace full of smokers. Dining room staff officious, ordered to sit at specific (unreserved) tables, not necessarily our choice. Very handy for Alhambra, however!
