We stayed at the Hotel Tryp Alcano on the outskirts of Granada for 3 nights at the end of April 2005. This was our second visit as we had stayed there for one summer's night in August two years ago. “Awful, awful place”

Dreadful place, avoid avoid. Surly unhelpful staff, refused to accept payment by credit card. Food for BBQ left out in the sun & covered with flies. Breakfast dismal. Convenient for Granada airport but nothing else.

“Better than (low) expectations”

We ended up at this hotel due to poor advance planning. The location is out of town. But if you take into account the price and the very helpful staff, it's not a bad choice. It's quiet and the rooms are clean and functional. It's 15 minutes from town by car.
