Ideally located for the main tourist sites in Granada, Hotel Monjas del Carmen is a boutique hotel with modern decor. The rooms are clean, with a comfortable bed, big shower and a lovely heated towel rail in the ensuite bathroom. Umbrellas are provided by the front door of the hotel, which came in handy as it was quite rainy while... More

This review is not about the Hotel but their apartment block. This is located about 600 metres from the Hotel. We did not realise they were so far and so difficult to find when new to the city. Carrying cases up the long steps in various streets was difficult as not accessible by taxi.. The small streets around the apartment... More

Great hotel in a great location. Steps to good restaurants and transportation. The rooms are modern, spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Well priced. Very helpful reception staff. My husband was the victim of a pick-pocket, where he lost all of his ID's, credit cards and a few hundred in cash. (Note: Watch your wallet on the crowded buses. And... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in late April. The weather was unusually cold so we were happy with the heating arrangements. We have stayed in Granada 5 or 6 times previously and this hotel is our best choice. The hotel is one of the few central (for bars) that offer parking in Granada. The parking is... More

The hotel is easy to find, although ignore the driving directions from the hotel which take you down a narrow tourist lane - the hotel is just off one of the main streets in the centre. The hotel has an underground carpark - it is not cheap (Eur 22) and is the tightest and most difficult carpark I have had... More

Chose this hotel having read the reviews and we weren't disappointed. The room was a good size, very clean, comfortable beds. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. We didn't eat here just used it as a base and it was fantastic location for getting to main tourist attractions. Highly recommend

Hotels in Granada are generally not expensive, based on our studied from Tripadvisor. So we chose this hotel because its ranked number 10 and no terrible comment. But we were unlucky. The central air-condition was adjusted in the heating mode while temperature outside was not cold. We have to leave the window open in the night.....for the air and sound!!!!... More

A great location and a great value. Clean and modern. After paying $165 a night for one star hotel in Seville, this was a very pleasant surprise. The front desk personnel spoke English, making excursions a little easier to arrange. Be sure to book the Alhambra online a day or two before you plan to go. The front desk was... More

The hotel is in a great location. It is very near the bus stop going to Alhambra (a minute walk), steps away from Plaza Nueva, walking distance to the Cathedral (5 minutes) and shopping area (5 minutes). Aside from the 30 minute walk to the Alhambra and the San Nicolas Viewpoint, you can literally tour all the necessary sites within... More

Like other places in Spain it is a challenge to find in a car even with directions, satnavs and I pads. Parking is under hotel (not recommended for big cars - it is very tight). Modern clean room with all the facilities you would expect. Although right in the city it was very quiet. Overall the hotel is possibly a... More
