Stayed here for a night to visit the Alhambra. The hotel is in a very old building and they have kept some of the traditional features while modernising the rooms. My room was huge and looked directly into the Alhambra which was a great view especially when it was lit up at night. Good buffet breakfast and helpful staff in... More

We stayed in the apartments for the Shine Albayzin in December. The only positive thing I can say about this stay was the kind receptionist who spoke English well and made a few phone calls for me to hotels in Sevilla. The rest of the experience was awful. The first issues, which we were expecting, were that the apartments are... More

Don't be put off by this hotel's humble exterior-there is no view from the street into a lavish reception area, just an ancient and unprepossessing wooden door. In fact our taxi driver, unfamiliar with with the place, said in horror, "This is no hotel! This is a... a... a guest house!" We'd like the opportunity to take that taxi driver... More

We loved this quaint and stylish hotel. A wonderful blend of old character and modern refurbishment. Lovely touch of complimentary wine and chocolates. Superb location in the old quarter of Granada. Just go there!

Lovely Boutique Hotel in the old Town, very clean & a very reasonable price. Complimentary bottle of wine which was a very nice touch. Within walking distance to all amenities , great little quirky bar just over the bridge. Would certainly stay here again.

We loved every minute of our 3 days in Granada and apart from our visit to the Alhambra we hardly left the area around Shine. The streets and the hotel itself are so full of history and we felt quite smug looking down from The Alhambra when the guide pointed the area out to our group. Our room looked directly... More

We stayed in the suite at upper level for two nights. We paid 340 USD. I have not stayed in other hotels in this area but this was too expensive for what we got in comparison with other places in Spain including Seville, Barcelona and Valencia. The room looks great when you enter with nice view, beautiful furniture and bathroom... More

My husband and I stayed at the Shine for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location beside the River Darro, below the Alhambra and a few minutes walk to Plaza Nueva. Shine is also in walking distance to many shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and most of Granada's tourist attractions. Take the advice of... More

Having stayed in more expensive hotels in Granada, we were delighted with the standard of this accommodation which is at the base of the Alhambra next to the River Darro. A complimentary bottle of wine was most welcome. The check out is 12.00 and the staff allow guests to leave bags in the store room so another full day of... More

First, you should not follow your GPS to get there, it may take you to impossible tiny streets (ours did and we almost got stranded...). You should go through the restricted traffic area to the hotel or even better, follow the hotel's recommendation, go straight to the parking and walk 15 mn with your luggage or take a taxi. That...
