A beautiful place, very nice patio, the design of the rooms- very interesting. Everything one needs- provided. But what is the best about this place is the company- people who work at Makuto are extremely friendly and fun. It's them who create this fantastic atmosphere.

My partner and I spent a night in the wonderful orange double room upstairs at Makuto. We loved the space - romantic and great value. Best of all everyone was outstandingly friendly The meal we shared in the kitchen in the evening was delicious and the company very interesting.

If you're looking fr an authentic experience in Granada then makuto is the place. It's right in the heart of the albaicin so it's perfect for exploring the city. Super chill atmosphere in the common areas and very comfortable too. The staff were so friendly and they made great dinners too. I stayed longer than originally planned because I liked... More

We had booked the double room, which is very spacious and has a private bathroom. Windows on three sites so very light (wooden shutters so you can sleep late if you like). Everything is accessible on foot. Staff are very friendly and give lots of advice what to see and do. We came by car and parked it 10-15 min... More

Makuto is my favourite hostel in Granada! Every time I go to Granada, this is where I stay. Centrally-located, amazing people, great food and hangout area. Took the FREE walking tour last time and loved it. I wish I could live at Makuto.

I will definitely try to get a room at Makuto again before trying something else. Great location, great employees, great hostel environment. You will never regret... More

Such a friendly place - great if travelling solo or in a group. Relaxed vibe with lots of free space out the back for chilling with a beer or a book. The staff organise tours every night and there's usually a sing song out back. Nice location so you can walk around old town or over to Alhambra.

I had a great time in Granada during December 2013. I went there on my own and two nights finally ended up in 5 nights ;-) Its really like a small family there. Everyone was very friendly and courteous. I definitely like the great location and the tree-house. Will go there definitely again. Try it out!
